The Honda XR400R was built with the serious off-road enthusiasts in mind! This 2001 Honda XR400R has been well maintained, starts right up and runs great. There are some scratches from offroad use, but the bike is in overall very nice shape (see detailed pictures). The bike is all stock with the exception of aluminum bars, aluminum skidplate, the XR’s Only Competion Exhaust and a Mikuni Pumper Carburetor ($400 extra!). The Accelerator Pump Carburetor not only makes the XR400R a one-kick start performance-minded machine, but it also eliminates the very noticeable flat spot that exists right off the bottom of the powerband. This is the carburetor that should have been on the XR400R from the factory! These bikes are getting harder and harder to find and this is your chance to pick one up for a great price! The XR is a slim, nimble handling bike with outstanding steering, air cooling and is the choice of 90 percent of adventure tour/off-road rental companies for a reason. The 650R retailed new for 600 dollars more than and L model. Some of the differences were the R model came with an aluminum frame, water cooled engine with 18% more horsepower than an XR650L. Up for sale is a nice 100% ready to go 1996 Honda XR400 dirt bike. This bike starts right up, has lots of power, idles and revs amazingly smooth, and shifts through all the gears nicely. It doesn't smoke or make any odd noises and the XR400 is known world-wide as one of the most reliable dirt bikes that Honda has ever produced. They are VERY low maintenance and extremely durable. This bike is in really nice condition, especially for a 1996. Everything works on it, even the headlight. The suspension is great with no leaks, as well as the brakes, frame, chain (newer gold chain installed) and sprockets, and other mechanical components. The tires have good tread, the seat is in great shape with no rips or fading, and the plastics and graphics are new including one side panel and front and rear fenders. This bike is all set and ready to ride and needs nothing. It has TONS of torque and will climb anything and run reliably for many, many years. I will also include the old plastics if you would like them for no extra cost. This is a 1996 dirt bike so there are some minor scrapes and scuffs and cosmetic imperfections here and there, but nothing very noticeable and nothing that affects the performance of the bike. The gas tank has a few spots on it where the white plastic is slightly yellowed, but some graphics would cover that up if desired. I would just like to be completely honest with potential buyers. Please feel free to come take a look at the bike if you're local in the Western New York area. I can help with delivery to areas north of Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, Ohio, and Rochester, NY and I can also help with shipping if you arrange it. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. This is a very fun custom little XR80 it has a XR100 motor with a complete rebuild motor and a fresh bore and new Wiseco piston and rings and a custom pipe that really makes the motor wake upit runs great and is super cute! but is not a toy it really fast and hands great it will support an adult person but with a good young rider it is a rocket and would make some kid a new best friendit starts easy and runs hard also rebuilt front forks and the tires are good and heavy duty clutch it is ready to ride and has no problems.

American Honda has yet to announced whether it would offer the CBR300R, but with today’s announcement of the NM4 and PCX150, we expect the CBR250R replacement will also be coming a a 2015 model. Don’t look now, but James Stewart is the hottest rider in the AMA Supercross Championship. The Yoshimura Suzuki rider won his third consecutive race and series-leading fifth victory of the season. But with Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto holding a comfortable lead with four rounds remaining, Stewart’s hot streak may be too little too late.

James Stewart captured his series-leading fourth AMA Supercross 450 class win of the season, giving him sole possession of second place on the overall career wins list ahead of Ricky Carmichael and behind Jeremy McGrath. The win also helped Stewart gain some ground on points leader Ryan Villopoto who suffered from a bout of food poisoning. Villopoto was examined at a Toronto hospital and released in time for the opening ceremonies.

Michael Dunlop, who took four wins in last year’s TT, has a hard-charging style that’s exciting to watch. He leaves nothing on the table, and as we see in this on-board video, he’s practically unbeatable when he’s at the top of his game.

Honda NM4 Vultus Concept Revealed

Honda revealed a new concept model called the NM4 Vultus, a futuristic-looking 745cc motorcycle with a massive front fairing. Despite the fact it looks like a mockup made for a movie like the Kawasaki-based bike in the recent Robocop reboot, Honda says the NM4 is indeed planned for production. The NM4 was designed by a team of young engineers in their 20s and early 30s, and that’s demographic Honda wants to target with its new concept.

MotoGP to Standardize ECU Software in 2016 Season

MotoGP‘s Grand Prix Commission announced the series will adopt a standardized Engine Control Unit hardware and software programming for all entries starting with the 2016 season. At the moment, all teams are required to use a standard ECU hardware supplied by Magneti Marelli. Teams competing under the Factory option are allowed to use their own proprietary software programming while Open option participants must use standardized software.
