Honda Shadow description

1986 Honda VT500 Shadow

It runs perfectly. The engine is smooth and has good power to it for a 500. The bike shifts great. The brakes are great and it can stop on a dime. The headlight is nice and bright and so is the LED tail light. The paint is in pretty good shape and is original to the bike. The seat is a custom king and queen seat that provides tons of comfort for a hard tail. The struts lowered the rear end about 2-3 inches and provide great support. It is shaft driven, so you'll never have to worry about upkeep on a chain. The tires are in great shape with approximately 80% tread. All the chrome is great shape and the engine is in phenomenal shape. The exhaust is custom bent and produces an incredible sound. If the bike doesn't sell I will repaint it, powder coat the frame and exhaust and put it up again for significantly more. I just thought it would be a good chance to sell a good quality bike and allow someone to give it their own styling since not everyone likes what I like.

The buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup.
I have a clean title and assure the bike to be exactly as I have described.

Built For Speed Art Exhibit To Be Displayed At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.

You want a nice little car, you do.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.

Malcolm! An Autobiography is set to release this December. The large-format (11×11-in.), 300-plus page, hardbound coffee-table book will feature hundreds of photographs from Malcolm’s private archives, many of which have never been seen by the public. “It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally time to do it,” says Smith.
