Honda Other description

Honda Helix 1988 – Low Mileage (9265) - RELISTED due to non paying bidder (NOTE: I will report all non paying bidders)!

Reason for selling: I bought this bike for my wife but she could not get the hang of it

Honda Helix is known as the most comfortable scooter to ride (250cc).

It has a trunk to carry groceries, etc.

The tires and battery are good (rear tire has a slow leak)

The seat has been recovered.

The average price for these models is $1000 - a similar model (white) non running just sold here for $500 (for parts?).

This bike was repainted (red) by a previous owner and the new paint scratches easily.

I test drove just before this listing; it runs strong. Guaranteed to start, run and drive upon delivery.

Buyer is responsible for selecting an auto/motorcycle transport and paying all shipping frees (I have been quoted under $400). Guaranteed to start, run and drive upon delivery (for long shipment may need battery recharge).

Local buyers please contact me to arrange a test drive (north of Cottonwood).

Payment by cash, cashiers check or bank certified check (as recommended by Ebay) within 3 days.

A video of this scooter is available on You Tube - title is Honda Helix Red 1988 - Sedona AZ

Disclosures: There is a replacement mirror on the left side (wife ran into a bush – the bike was never dropped during our ownership).  There is also a dime to quarter size hole in the left rear turn signal. I didn’t even notice it until the tape covering it came off. I will look for some replacement tape. A plastic trim piece on the right side is broken - temporary repair in place (bondo and black paint).

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mystic Mac's 2014 MotoGP predictions

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

There is no real off season in Moto GP.  Although we complain about being starved of racing, for those at the sharp end, in little more than two months they have new bikes to assemble, team staff to put in place and sponsors to nail down that will pay for it all.  This time frame is also tight for riders, as it seems more every year go straight under the surgeon’s knife after the last round and spend the short winter recuperating for the season ahead. The 2014 Moto GP championship looks like a cracker as apart from the ten full factory riders we now have at least eight non factory riders with properly competitive machinery.  We also have five Brits on the grid, two with podium potential.  Whatever happens though (providing you have BT Sport) you can just sit back and enjoy watching the incredible Marc Marquez do things that shouldn’t be possible. Speaking of whom, I didn’t believe a Rossi replacement would come this soon.  And when I say replacement, I mean a rider that is the full package.  Although in some ways quite different to Vale, he’s an equally phenomenal talent plus a very likeable character that appeals to the masses and although respectful to his rivals off track, deadly competitive in the heat of battle.  Being young and good looking he’s obviously a dream for sponsors and the sport in general.  Marquez has evolved in his own way but thankfully into a perfect replacement for our sport when the VR steps down.

Honda MotoGP Production Racer Undergoes Testing at Motegi

Mon, 27 May 2013

Development of Honda‘s new production racer is well underway, as the new (relatively) low-cost MotoGP racebike underwent testing at Japan’s Twin Ring Motegi circuit May 23-24. Conceived as a lower-cost option for race teams, the production racer project is running slightly behind schedule but Honda still expects it will available in time for the 2014 MotoGP season. Early reports estimate the price for the production racer to be around US$1.26 million, a substantial price, but still considerably less expensive than rumored $3.9 million it currently costs to lease a Honda RC213V for one season.

Pedrosa, Marquez, Bradl Talk About Racing, Motorcycles, And Each Other

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

In order to use footage from a Dorna-sanctioned MotoGP test session — say, for marketing or promotional reasons — a team must receive approval from Dorna. The process is tedious, and even if permission is granted, there are strict limitations as to what the material may or may not be used for. So when Honda decided to conduct its own private test (which Yamaha also joined), at the Circuit of the Americas, it was free from any and all Dorna mandates.
