Honda Other description

1972 Honda XL 250 motosport .First year XL ,bike is a  nice survivor , titled ,with a little more attention very nice bike . Here is the rundown on what it needs .The light switch is run thru an aftermarket switch , Basically the right hand  switch  needs repair or replaced ,  choke cable is not there .I just put my finger on the choke lever and 1 or 2 kicks and she starts right up .  , I just use original  key for kill switch ,which also operates fork lock . Bike runs , shifts and rides nicely , but I'm at 7,000 ft. + elevation and may  need a carb adjustment to stay up at this elevation. Needs a  new battery . Original 6030 miles w/ original key  . Seat is very nice , tires are very good dual sports with very few miles on them ,new coil .Tank has some rust but good and very straight overall/no bondo ,and original paint. Good brakes ,lights were working ,see no reason why they are not now . .I just havent rode it for a while.Speedometer and tach function as they should.    Overall ,It is a well cared for Survivor .please ask questions as needed ,I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase , I also have a  parts XL that I may sell cheaply with this .  If the Buy it now is met , I will throw  the parts bike in ! I can deliver to forward air frieght for 100.00,they place them in their crate and it is very reasonable , or I may be able to deliver personally as well for a fee . Bike is sold as is used but good ,so before bidding please ask questions 500.00 deposit within 48 hours of auction end  , bike is for sale locally so auction may end at any time ,bid now on this  very nice  original XL. Intermot 2012: Honda CRF450 Rally Unveiled

Tue, 02 Oct 2012

Today at Intermot 2012, Honda unveiled the CRF450 Rally, the machine it plans to enter in the 2013 Dakar Rally, marking the manufacturer’s return to the race after more than two decades. Honda has competed nine times from 1981 in the forerunner of the present Dakar Rally, the Paris-Dakar Rally. Cyril Neveu of France took Honda to its first victory in 1982, the race’s fourth year, and from 1986 to 1989 Honda won four consecutive titles for an overall record of five victories in nine years. The CRF450 Rally is based on Honda’s commercial CRF450X enduro racing model, and features electronic fuel injection, auxiliary fuel tanks in the panniers and lower side fairings, and the requisite navigation equipment located behind the windscreen.
