Honda Interceptor description
Hey up for sale is my amazing condition Honda 1989 VTR 250 interceptor in white. Clean Title in hand. Ive been told this bike is show quality. The bike has only 5790 miles on it and runs great. Im still driving it a little so the milage will change. I got this bike only 6 months ago but i just don’t have the space for it any more. Since I have had it its had oil, oil filter & air filter change, also replace the battery and regulator rectifier after the old one gave up, all that work was done by the local Honda service center and i have the work receipts for it. The shop replaced the rectifier with a larger one from a Honda 600rr I believe. Also the sight glass on the front brake was seeping fluid and that has been repaired with a think glue around the edge(see in pic) also done my the Honda service center. The bike plastics are in such good condition, its all stock that im aware of and has been kept covered by everyone thats owned it as far as I can tell. One plastic piece has the L arm bracket that hugs it to the tank broken, it causes no issue (see in pic) and you on only tell of your sitting on the bike. It was on my list to fix along with clean carbs but it came like that and it was never a issue. I really don’t want to let it go but I just don’t have the space, I just love looking at it. 249cc (15.2 cu in) four stroke liquid cooled DOHC V-twin aka Chicken Hawk 6 speed Bike comes with weather cover, digital service manual and extra fuse cover. Any questions I'll try and answer but google probably knows more, if its not about my bike, lol. local pick up or I can do deliver up to 2.5 hrs but buyers pays for trailer rental from Uhal. May be able to drop it off on my way to atlanta early next month if you live between Tampa and Atlanta but contact me before bidding. I am selling it local so I reserve right to pull at any time. Paypal or Cash in hand only. The reserve is $1000.00 Thanks |

Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.
GSX-R600 and CBR250R the glass is half full
Wed, 13 Oct 2010Suzuki’s GSX-R600 might not look that much different to the outgoing model but I suspect this bike could be very much a dark horse in 2011. I say this because two years ago I was definitely not building my hopes up en route to the K9 GSXR 1000 launch. The leaked pictures suggested the biggest change from the 2007 version would be some fresh graphics but I was so wrong. As it turned out, I was greeted in Almeria with a brand new bike, built from the tarmac up and it proved to be more than a match in every department for the much hyped 2009 Yamaha R1.
