1973 Honda CL (1973)
Honda CL350-K5 1973 Spotless This was a Colorado 2nd owner CL350 that I purchased and had shipped to me a few years back to add to my personal collection. It was in fair shape (dented tank and headlight, lots of scratches and tears) but ran respectably with 15k miles. I have done restorations of cars, motorcycles and antiques throughout my life. I’ve owned many bikes since my first Honda C100 back in 1964 when I was nine, which I actually still own. In my shop I do painting, plating, powder coating, and rebuilding. What I did for the CL350 was a full gasket/seal replacement, new rings, new condenser/points/plugs, new gas lines, new pet-cock, new stock air filters, repainted the engine cases. Replacement gas tank (correct year), full repainting bodywork and frame. Re-plated all the spokes, new seat cover (w/Honda emblem), new tires, brake shoes, cables. Every single part was inspected and thoroughly cleaned or replaced if needed. The scrambler exhaust system looks and sounds brand new. I located NOS headlight ears and bucket to replace the dented ones. I located and installed a correct year (very rare) Honda CL350 skid plate.2016-08-18 04:44:34Huntsville, Alabama, United States158200

1966 Honda CL (1966)
Up for auction is my 1966 CL77 305 Honda Scrambler. This bike was restored in 2009 and won 2nd place in the 2009 Keeneland Concours d’elegance show, losing only to a mint condition 1968 rare Triumph Bonneville. As you can see from the pics, I have replaced or restored almost every part in this bike, and mostly with OEM Honda parts whenever available. This is strictly a show bike as I have only ridden it about 135 miles since restoration but it starts great, rides and shifts good and has that famous 305 sound that you can recognize anywhere. The serial number on this bike is CL77-1031422 and the motor serial number is CL77E-1031461. If you don’t know this already, Honda did not match up exactly the motor and serial numbers but they should be close like this one. It has been garage kept, covered, and has only had a misting rain on it once during my last motorcycle show. This bike was like a barn find, stored for almost 20 years till I bought it from a man in Indiana. I have most of the receipts for the work that was done to this bike along with an original Honda Owners Manual, a like new original CL77 tool kit, and a clear Kentucky title. Details: All the electrical system works great, horn blows (squeeks), Lights, Hi-Low beam, Brake/Tail light, charges good. This bike has 4478 actual miles. I have an Indiana title that shows 4340 miles on it when I purchased it.2016-08-01 04:45:25Lexington, Kentucky, United States48700

1972 Honda CL (1972)
Every summer I think I am going to have time to finish this project, and every summer I am wrong, so due to a sudden move to Philly here it is, up for sale. It's spent the majority of the last 2 and a half years in my stored in my shed. The following stuff has been replaced in the last 4 years and has less than 100 miles of use: -Clutch pack -tires (the wheels were also checked for true and the insides of the rims were sandblasted and sealed with rust proofer) -various gaskets and seals -ignition coils -ignition points (which I just checked and are still clean and within adjustment) -valve adjustment -Carbs are completely rebuilt and cleaned to a very high standard.2016-06-28 04:45:31Linwood, New Jersey, United States127500

100% custom Honda CL450 adventure bike by Lossa Engineering, Ammo cans w/ solar (1970)
I haven’t built a bike for myself in over 3 years. So after a horrible 2012 getting cancer again, doing chemotherapy, full body radiation and having a bone marrow transplant. I was aching to build something I have thought about for years and use the build as therapy while I was recovering to get back into the swing of things. Everyone knows me for building cafe bikes, well, I actually build motorcycles, any brand any model as long as they are from the 60’s or 70’s. I wanted to build something I could take off-road or jump off a curb and actually carry stuff with me when I ride. I bought the donor bike a few years ago and it was soo clean I was unsure if I wanted to even modify it. But being someone who can never leave good enough or perfect alone, I had to take it to the extreme. I was collecting many parts for the build over the next few years while it was just sat upstairs in my personal work area. I did a little mock up here and there over the years to dial in some of the parts I wanted to use. Then I started to spend every saturday just working on the fabrication. I basically had to assemble and build the whole bike as it was going to be finished before it was taken apart for all the plating and coatings. The 40 cal. ammo cans were custom mounted with 70’s Hondaline saddle bag mounts that I chopped up so they would come off and on easy. The exhaust had to mount under the left side ammo can and the rear suspension was a lot taller so custom gearing and clearance for the chain was needed. Every nut and bolt that I was using had to be accounted for and all the chrome had to be stripped before the zinc plating. After mock up everything went out to powder coating, yellow zinc plating, anodizing and paint. The ammo cans house solar panels from Goal Zero, they charge a flashlight and speakers form Goal Zero too and they charge my iPhone while I ride. They will charge anything with a USB port. The tail light is a model A reproduction from Lick’s cycle that I bought over 5 years ago and it pretty much sums up my 2012 year and how I felt against the world! Pics shot by: Eric Simpson Photography Specs: CL350 gas tank with custom Lossa gas cap 40 cal.2013-09-28 17:43:54Long Beach, California, US1505,200.00

Honda CL450 Scrambler (1973)
I have a 1973 Honda CL450 Scrambler for sale. I got the bike from the second owner so don't know a lot about it. It appears to be all original. The bike only has 10,405 miles on it. Started it up and seems to run good. Everything seems to work on the bike, turn signals, horn, brakes, etc. I do believe the clutch cable needs adjusted. The bike has new tires on it and I believe a new battery. The chrome shines nice and the paint is in excellant shape. The side covers and tank still look new. This is a very clean bike. I have the original tool kit, owners manual and clear title in hand. Local pickup unless you contact me and I will assist you with shipping. 1972 Honda CL175 (1972)
I am selling my 1972 Honda CL175 with 5,784 miles. I would call this bike, for the year, to be in excellent condition. The original seat is flawless. The front and rear tires, along with the battery have been replaced. Gas tank has been cleaned inside and sealed, carbs rebuilt and it has had a complete tuneup. The oils have been changed and the filter cleaned. This bike starts and runs like new. The bike has been stored inside as you can tell by the seat, the paint and the red color in the tac and speedometer are still bright. There are some minor flaws so that you know that I am accurately representing this bike. The front rim has a spot rust mark, the front forks on the lower part will not polish up perfect, the tank has a small blemish on the right side, the right exhaust pipe has a blue spot and there is a small rash on the muffler guard. This bike has a clean Iowa title. If you are serious about wanting to own a bike of this vintage this is the one. $200 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of the auction end. This must be cash or through Paypal. The remaining balance must be paid cash, cashier's check, Paypal or USPS money order. The bike will not leave until payment has cleared. If you need to have this bike shipped, you will be responsible for arranging for shipment and for the payment to the shipper. Contact me prior to bidding if you need to work out any details. If the bike needs shipped, we will gladly assist in anyway we can.2013-09-03 21:41:02Missouri Valley, Iowa, US5,784565.00

Until now, Honda has been very tentative when it comes to electrification, with its main focus being on developing swappable battery packs for electric two-wheelers. Its Japanese counterparts Yamaha and Kawasaki have outlined their own plans, while in North America, Harley-Davidson is days away from finalizing its LiveWire spin-off.

Honda Reminds Us It's Working On A New Hornet
Mon, 06 Jun 2022Expect the production model at EICMA in November One of the biggest surprises at the 2021 EICMA show last November was the news Honda is working on a new Hornet model. At its booth in Milan, Honda presented a sculpture with an elaborate light show projecting a hint at what to expect from the new Hornet. In the six months following EICMA, however, there has been very little, er, “buzz”, coming from Honda.
Church of MO: 2002 Honda 919 First Ride
Sun, 22 May 2022Here at modern MO, we probably wouldn’t publish a road test of a new Honda without a few photos of the thing in action. Twenty years ago, though, there was probably a perfectly reasonable-sounding excuse: My dog ate the film, a bear ate the photographer… Most probably, somebody slud the shiny new Honda 919 down the road on the way to the shoot, and the show had to go on. Who knows?
Design Filings May Offer Clues to the Honda NX500
Tue, 10 May 2022Africa Twin-inspired styling may be for an NX200 model Last week, we wrote about trademark filings that suggest Honda was working on a CL500 scrambler and an NX500 dual sport/adventure bike. We’ve now uncovered design filings that may offer a hint at what the NX500 may look like. However, the design itself isn’t for the NX500, which we expect to be powered by the same liquid-cooled 471cc Parallel-Twin used on multiple other models in Honda’s lineup.

And while Honda released several details about the Hawk 11, there is still a lot of vital information that has not been provided.

The name was originally used in Europe in 1969 for Honda’s ST-series in 50 and 70cc models, and last produced from 1995 to 2003 in Japan. The name comes from “Dachshund”, as its distinctive T-shaped frame resembles the weiner dog breed, helping it stand out from Honda’s other minibikes like the Monkey and Cub.
Church of MO: 1997 Honda Valkyrie
Sun, 06 Mar 2022In 1997, Bill Clinton started his second term, nobody was sure if the Titanic had sunk or not as the Leonardo di Caprio film had just debuted – along with the Toyota Prius in Japan. Love was in the air, the median California home price was $186k, and what the hell was Motorcycle Online? What could possibly go wrong?
