1979 Honda CBX Here is an opportunity to buy an early, desirable CBX which rides and sounds perfectly, is in excellent mechanical condition and in very good original condition visually. These don't come up often and are getting completely out of reach for ordinary folks as perfect specimens can command up to 25k. I need to sell this one quickly in order to buy a Laverda a friend is selling, that's why the price is so reasonable.2016-08-04 04:45:32Miami, Florida, United States163000

1979 Honda CBX (1979)
Great running classic 1979 CBX for auction, ready to be ridden and enjoyed, Tanks is absolutely perfect inside, valves adjusted, new O-rings in carbs and then synchronized, and only had ethanol free gas used since rebuild, brakes good and don't stick, Brand new tires will be installed before end of auction, Bike now has great sounding black Winning pipe on it (Pipe shown in pics has been removed). Idles fine, runs really strong throughout RPM range as it should, does pop some on deceleration, maybe due to header, buts really does run smooth and nice, just don't have cables for gauges, but otherwise bike is ready to ride and enjoy. Also has comfortable corbin seat although not perfect, it will make your butt happy compared to horrible stock seat, have another seat as well I will include, Clear florida title, can ship most anywhere for $300-$400, will include more pics with winning pipe installed soon, Not a show bike, but one to be ridden and enjoyed, I got bike from family that owned bike since new, he had repainted it at some point, Florida sun is brutal on red paint., believe miles to be about 25k, original gauges had both needle broke, so different set installed. email me with questions, paypal deposit of $400 due 48 hours of auction end, will accept paypal for whole price if buyer pays fees, if your feedback is low, contact me before bidding, I'm a trustworthy seller, check my feedback, bike located in Orlando FL area2016-06-29 04:46:57Apopka, Florida, United States354000

1979 Honda CBX (1979)
1979 Honda CBX. This is a 37 year old bike that was enjoyed for 57000 kilometers. (35300 miles) The paint looks very good but there are some flaws with the most noticeable being a small dent and touch up on the top right of the tank. The front fender and tail section are damage free but the paint does have some minor scuffs.2016-06-24 04:45:23Kitchener, Ontario, Canada355,500.00

1979 Honda CBX (1979)
1979 Honda CBX. 100% stock bike. All original. I've owned the bike for 10 years. During that time, I have completed a partial restoration. Thus far, I have stripped the bike to the frame; re-sprayed the frame w/ DuPont Imron (black), nickel plated the swing arm, the rear brake reaction rod, both front and rear caliper assemblies. Left to accomplish is to repair the torn seat, remove a ding from the gas tank, re-spray the rear cowling behind the seat and clean up the aluminum castings that surround the engine. The engine block is quite clean. The "covers": clutch, alternator, valve covers, and crank end caps are all showing superficial corrosion. They all need to be removed and refinished. Exhaust pipes are original and in astonishingly good condition for their age.2016-06-16 04:48:10Burnsville, Minnesota, United States3825000

1980 Honda CBX (1980)
1980 Honda CBX. For 1980, Honda installed pneumatic (in addition to springs) front forks, put needle bearings in the rear swing arm instead of bushings, used reversed spoke Comstar wheels, 530 O ring chain instead of 630, an 85 MPH speedometer (go figure)...... I purchased this bike from a relative when it was 4 months old and have had it ever since.2016-08-12 04:45:15Clearville, Pennsylvania, United States5820000

1979 honda cbx (1979)
TIMS has an extremely nice 1979 bone stock honda cbx--it is in near perfect condition and runs absolutely great--there are no issues with the bike, the carbs are clean, clean ,clean--the clutch has no chatter whatsoever and everything works like it should, the tires are like new,all plastics still have the oem patina look with no fading anywhere, the wheels are super clean, the gas tank has no rust whatsoever in it,the seat is in great condition with no splits tears or rips, the motor is really clean with no oil or gas stains--the only flaws even worth mentioning are 1--a small bubble in the lower pinstripe on the gas tank back near where it meets the seat on the left side and 2--a small slit in the airbox at the seam about 3/8 inch long on the left side as well, but both are hardly noticable--ive driven this bike a couple times and its very tight and shifts smoothly through all gears and the brakes work great as well, the pipes are original oem hm422 and have no scratches, dents or typical underneath rust----this bike is nice enough to put in a collection but ready to ride anywhere as well--you dont find many low mileage bikes that are ready to ride so dont miss out on this one --TIMS will assist with shipping here in the us or overseas as well at the new owners expense--TIMS will be at barber vintage fest from the 9th-13th so we will be unavailable for showing the bike during this time --2013-10-14 00:06:52Cornelia, Georgia, US9,3968,600.00

1979 Honda CBX (1979)
Extreemly Rare I bought this motorcycle from a lady in California whos husband passed. She said he was the original owner of the bike and rode it for aprox 11000 miles and then drained the gas and fluids, added preservation conditioners, removed the battery and placed it on a storage rack among over 50 other collector bikes. That is all I know. I have not had the time to do anything to it and it has been sitting in my garage under a cover exactly the same way as it was delibered to me via transport delivery. The bike is regestered under my name with clean California Title on hand.2024-07-11 10:40:52Sylmar, California, United States11,14719,000.00

1979 Honda CBX1000 6 cylinder Candy Glory Red Original Superbike (1979)
1979 Full Power Honda CBX 6 cylinder Totally original bike with no issues. Very early serial # (605) which was delivered with the smooth cylinder studs. This bike is a very well kept example, has been cleaned and recommissioned to be ridden and or shown as desired. Correct seat, exhaust, shocks, turnsignals etc. Bike has been fitted with the desirable 'sports handling kit' please check out the pictures. I thought about changing the studs as this was a factory recall by Honda, but decided to leave the original ones in as it is part of this bike's history. Replacing the studs can be done with the engine in place, and a complete set of updated studs will go with the bike, as does a manual, tool kit as delivered from the factory. If the bike is to be displayed or shown, the smooth studs are a talking point. I can assist with shipping the bike overseas. Have shipped bikes to Australia, Denmark, Norway, South America and the UK. Please make sure you have your shipping details sorted before bidding, as asking me to arrange everything after you have bought the bike is NOT really the way to do these transactions, especially if the subsequent shipping costs are higher than you may have been expecting...2013-09-06 06:11:16Johnstown, Ohio, US12,2317,500.00

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride
Fri, 03 Nov 2023A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300
Sun, 29 Jan 2023By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
