Honda CB description

This is a 1976 Honda CB550K from the Hamilton Honda Motorcycle collection in Apache Junction, Arizona.

This CB550 is an original rider in very good condition and drives well.  It has 18707 miles on the odometer, has a new battery and has been recently serviced.

It has its original paint on the tank, although there are several scratches on the top as shown in the pictures.  The left side cover has a crack but since it looks to be an original, we did not want to replace it or repaint it.  The original yellow paint still shows on the factory inspection locations.

The bike has its original 4 into 4 exhausts with no rust or holes.

Engine number is CB55E-1067526.  Frame number is CB550-1230323.

This CB550K has a clear Washington State title.

It's no coincidence that some of the most successful banking conglomerates are Dutch.  And then we have people doing this - just because they can - in their sheds.

Mon, 13 Jun 2011

Honda has initiated a recall campaign for certain 2010-2011 Shadow series cruisers due to a problem with their bank angle sensors. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the bank angle sensors may incorrectly read that the motorcycle is leaning. The bank sensor uses a weighted pendulum that swings into a motorcycle’s lean.

Defending champion Ryan Villopoto won his third consecutive AMA Supercross race in Arlington, Texas, but the victory was overshadowed by a season-ending injury suffered by one of his main challengers Chad Reed. TwoTwo Motorsport Honda‘s Reed trailed Villopoto in second place for the first six laps at Cowboys Stadium. Disaster struck on Lap 7 however as Reed crashed hard in the whoops.
