Honda CA description

Vintage 1964 Honda Benly.   CA 95   150CC
This is literally a barn find and purchased from the estate sale of original owner.
All original with exception of new starter/ignition switch that is not completely rewired, new battery and replaced one tank emblem with original, not after market reproduction.
Has been gone over by local motorcycle shop and carburetor was the only thing that needed cleaned out.   Chrome has minimal pitting which cleaned up great with fine steel wool (front wheel started but not finished)
Because the original owner didn't drain the gas tank before storage the fuel had solidified and caused some tiny leaks in the gas tank which were also repaired but technician suggested the inside be coated just to be sure completely repaired.  Petcock may need replacement
Original mirrors, seat, engine... all original and ideal for restoration.  Starts with first kick and runs well.
Located in Northern Lower Michigan and buyer to either pick up or arrange and pay for transport.

Jefferies' TT V&M R1 for sale

Tue, 26 Apr 2011

We got a tip-off about a former David Jefferies TT R1 for sale on eBay. The owner says it's from the 1998 TT but I'm pretty sure it was the one he raced in 1999. Here's a little bit more background about the V&M TT effort in 1999: In 1990 Jack Valentine gave up racing to concentrate on running V&M Racing, and after being sacked by Honda at the end of the 1998 season, the team set about to do some giant killing.

The future. But we can't have it

It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
