Honda CA description

I am now 76 years old with three motorcycles, it is time for something to go. Up for sale is one of my Honda Dreams. It's time for someone else to enjoy it. As the pictures show it is a bright red, with white wall tires. It has been repainted, and the paint is good. Some of the chrome on the mufflers, and wheels, had some rust spots. They have been touched up with chrome paint. The mileage on the odometer is different than the mileage on the title, so therefore, I have to say that the true mileage is unknown. It was that way when I bought the bike. The ends of the mufflers have been cut and the baffles have been removed. Also that way when I bought it.The engine # is not legible, again, that way when I bought it. Now for the good things, It has new spokes on the front wheel, new tubes, new cables, (throttle, clutch, and brake), new battery, new windshield, new mirrors, new drive chain, new rubber for shifter, and foot pegs. It runs, drives, and brakes as it should. The lights, horn and speedometer all work. It's fun to ride, and would be good to take to local antique car, truck and motorcycle shows. To the winning bidder, $500.00 via Pay Pal, within 48 hours of auction end, I would prefer the balance in cash at the time of pickup or delivery. Thanks for looking.  Bob

Words fail me. Presumably, if your pockets are deep enough to buy all the engine parts from Kitaco (how about a DOHC four-valve head?), this sort of performance is within the reach of every C90 Honda owner. All those cabbies doing their 'knowledge' would make mincemeat of London traffic with this sort of acceleration.

Things I wouldn't like to race: Part 1

Now I know that Mike Hailwood raced a 6-cylinder Honda but that's no excuse for this CBX I spotted at the Bikers Days Spa Classic. The 1047cc, inline 6 cylinder, 24 Valve, DOHC Honda might be a feat of engineering brilliance but it looks like it would be a right handful on track. I've added a picture of an oil tanker to give you an idea of just how long the CBX's wheelbase really is.

Michael Dunlop led from start to finish to win the second Supersport TT race, giving him 10 TT victories in his career, tying him with the likes of Giacomo Agostini. Dunlop also joins sidecar racer Robert Fisher, Ian Lougher and Stanley Woods with 10 wins apiece, all tied for seventh overall on the all-time wins list. Riding his MD Racing Honda CBR600RR, Dunlop got off to a strong start, recording a time of 17:55.817 on the opening lap, giving him a 4.6-second advantage over fellow Honda rider Bruce Anstey.
