1978 Harley Davidson FXS Low Rider

This bike was purchased new in 1978 by my father and has been in the family since. The bike has a little over 3200 original miles on it as it was not ridden very much. It has been stored in a climate controlled garage all of its life and this motorcycle is in Outstanding condition. This bike runs fantastic and has NO ISSUES and does NOT LEAK. The bike is mostly stock but some upgrades have been done. I have the stock gas tanks along with some additional stuff that will go with the bike. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Note: I do NOT have the original 2-into pipe, handlebars, derby cover, or points cover.

Harley-Davidson Offers “Steel Toe Tour” of York Factory

Thu, 23 Feb 2012

Harley-Davidson is adding a new factory tour program offering visitors a personal look at the company’s York production facility. For years, the M has been offering free factory tours of its operations in York, Pa., Kansas City, Mo., Tomahawk, Wis., and Menomonee Falls, Wis., facilities. In 2009, Harley-Davidson introduced a premium tour that takes guests into “employee-only” areas called the “Steel Toe Tour” at its Menomonee Falls location.

Harley-Davidson's Production Stoppage Was Caused by Non-compliant Brake Lines

Fri, 29 Jul 2022

Production ramps up to meet year-end targets Back in May, Harley-Davidson announced it would temporarily halt motorcycle production due to a “regulatory compliance matter” regarding an unspecified part from a third-party supplier. Harley-Davidson initially estimated the stoppage would last two weeks but it eventually lasted 19 days before production resumed on June 6. The actual cause for the delay remained unclear some speculating the issue was related to the powertrains, as the stoppage only affected Harley-Davidson’s gas engine-powered motorcycles and not the electric LiveWires.

Off-Road Motorcycle and Free-Ride Bicycle Compared

Thu, 11 Dec 2008

What if anything do bicycles and motorcycles have in common? Besides the whole two-wheel thing, it isn’t outright apparent that these two “handle-barred beasts” share more than ancient ancestry. Modern Off-road motorcycle and Free-ride bicycle designs side-by-side illustrate how much technology the two have in common.
