Ducati Superbike description

SC project pipe with custom motovation (motovation is a nationwide mail order bike shop that happens to be headquartered in Austin) carbon fiber heat shield bits.  Ducati sold me the pipe.  I installed and they put the tune on the bike.  Motogadget bar end led turn signals.  Rear led turn signals in the seat cowl vents (both super stealth and naked bike worthy).  Too many rizoma bits all over.  CRG carbon shorty levers.  Arrow rear view mirrors. Ducati performance seat.  Aftermarket clutch slave.  Oversized carbon air intake with performance Ducati filter installed prior to tune and accounted for in tune.  Motovation frame sliders and radiator shield.  I have everything I've removed from the bike to go with it.  It will also be sold with a rear pitbull stand and nice trickle charger.  Has right at 5k miles on it and is immaculate - no driving in rain and sits in my garage with other 2 wheel things.

This was the sorry looking JHP Ducati after Darren Fry crashed it in qualifying on Sunday before the first race of the championship. Fry broke his coccyx in the crash but, fortunately for Fry, it took around 10 people just over 3 hours to get the bike ready to race, as can be seen in the picture below. Hats off to Darren Fry for racing the bike over the rest of the weekend.

Collector’s Item: Ducati Diavel AMG, the Mercedes-badged Audi

Thu, 19 Apr 2012

As expected, Mercedes-Benz’s performance division AMG announced it is cutting ties with Ducati following the motorcycle manufacturer’s acquisition by rival car-maker Audi. AMG released a brief statement saying, explaining the split and saying it we never in the running to purchase Ducati: “Since the end of 2010 a successful marketing cooperation has existed between AMG and Ducati. The company takeover by a rival car manufacturer has understandably resulted in the end of any further collaboration.
