Ducati Superbike description

2001 Ducati 748R
1796 miles
This rare example is nearly stock with a full Arrow exhaust, Yoyodyne slave cylinder and a few carbon bits. I bought this bike about 13 months ago from a dealership in outside of San Francisco. Right before I bought her a major service including valves, belts, all fluids, chain, brake pads, tires and a few things I forgot were done (the bill was over $3000). I cleaned her up, rode her 100 miles then I drained the tank, pulled the battery and stuck her in my buddy's office for a year. I pulled her out of the office a week ago, added some 100 octane to wake her up with a kick, installed a new battery and cleaned and polished every bit of her. she runs GREAT. She needs nothing, she is ready to be ridden or she can be display piece like she was for me. The dynamic at my Buddy's start up has changed I lost my storage space so she has to find a new home.
I have the invoice from all the work done before I bought her and included in the sale is a box with the rear fender, signals and a carbon Corbin seat. The mirrors aren't in the picture but they are around somewhere. I like the look of the bike without the street gear so I took it off when I stored it. The stand in the pictures is included too.

You don't try and pinch Rossi's bike

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

When Valentino Rossi suffered a low-speed crash in practice at Sepang, he was in no mood to throw the towel in. Unfortunately for the 9-time world champ, he couldn't just get back on his Ducati, he had to fight off the marshals from pushing his bike to the recovery zone. 'Excuse me, do you know who I am?'

Go Inside the Ducati Museum with Google Maps

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

The Ducati Museum in Bologna is a popular attraction for motorcycle enthusiasts vacationing in Italy, but if you can’t make the trip, Google has an alternative. The Internet giant has added a virtual tour of the Ducati Museum to its popular Google Maps application, allowing anyone to “visit” the 9150 square-foot facility. To access the virtual tour, search for “Ducati Museum” or “Museo Ducati”, or by going to http://goo.gl/maps/jAHeL and zooming in to Street View mode.

2012 Ducati Streetfighter 848 Spied

Mon, 08 Aug 2011

A photograph has emerged of what is reported to be a new, smaller version of the  Ducati Streetfighter featuring the company’s 848 engine. The photograph, posted by a user on the Ducati.ms forum, was reportedly snapped outside Ducati’s factory in Bologna. The banana yellow motorcycle sports a five-bolt hub on the rear wheel, similar to the Ducati 848EVO, whereas the current 1098cc Streetfighter has a six-bolt rear hub (pictured below from our 2009 Ducati Streetfighter review).
