Ducati Other description
Up for auction is a mostly original 1967 Ducati Monza 250. The only parts that have been restored on this bike are that the tins have been repainted, and the bars were replaced with 60's Triumph Bonneville handlebars (much better looking and much more comfortable). As far as I can tell the rest of the bike is original, and with very low mileage, including the tires (Pirellis). This in an interesting mix because it's not the 100% mint original or the perfect restoration that you wouldn't want to ride, but it's also not the rusty basket case. Not many of these bikes fall into the middle of the road, a very clean semi-restored rider. It's very obvious that the bike has all original patina, and it is very light. There is no major rust anywhere. There is a tiny bit of surface rust on the header and the rims, but as you can see from the pictures it's VERY light. The bike ran well when I rode it home from picking it up last fall. I just installed a new battery and spark plug and it fired on the first kick. It does run but it will need to have the timing adjusted and the carb cleaned. I rode it around the block after starting it up but it will need to be inspected and have new tires put on if it's going to be ridden normally. I've received some emails about the validity of the mileage of this bike. Two reasons I can be 99.9% sure that this is the original mileage. First, the front tire has Pirelli's old font logo. These tires have not been produced this way in probably 30 to 40 years. So the front tire is very obviously original, and has literally no tread wear. And second, the 'Ducati' logo foot pegs also have no wear and are obviously original from the slight patina they have. The raised Ducati lettering on the pegs usually shows wear fairly quickly if they have any decent mileage on them. Anything over 1000 miles and both the front tire and the pegs would show more wear than they do. By these two items I can be pretty much certain that the mileage is original. A deposit of $500 through PayPal is required within 24 hours. The balance is to be paid via cashiers check or money orders within 72 hours of receipt of the $500 deposit. If you have less than 5 feedback email first. The bike is sold as is with no refunds. Good luck

Milan show: Ducati Diavel latest
Tue, 02 Nov 2010Just got back from Ducati's stand in hall 18 and it's swamped. People are literally scuffling to get a sit on the new Diavel. I managed to scuffle my way to the front and even though the handlebar grips were dripping with other people's excited hand secretions, it was a pleasant experience.
Larry Pegram’s EBR 1190RX AMA Race Livery Looks Sharp!
Wed, 05 Mar 2014In January news broke that Larry Pegram would be teaming up with Erik Buell Racing to race the 1190RX in AMA Superbike. At the time no official photos were revealed, but that’s all changed as Pegram posted these pictures of his completed 1190RX in full race livery on his Facebook page. These photos were captured during team testing in Florida, and the colors show off the all-American design motif.
Ducati Targeting Aprilia Racing Manager Gigi Dall’Igna
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Ducati has reportedly signed Aprilia Racing manager Gigi Dall’Igna to take control of its struggling MotoGP program. Neither Ducati Corse or Aprilia Racing have confirmed the reports, but several sources in the European motorsports press such as Motociclismo.it, not to mention a tweet from retired World Superbike Champion Max Biaggi, claim the deal is done. Dall’Igna has been an instrumental figure in Aprilia’s racing success since the manufacturer’s return to WSBK racing with the RSV4 in 2009, helping guide Biaggi to two championships and, pending the result of the 2013 season finale at Jerez, likely three manufacturers titles.
