Ducati Monster description

I bought this bike used and it had about 4100 miles on it. It now has 7739 miles on it. It has the 998 testastretta engine which has a ridiculous amount of torque. It was stock when I bought it with the exception of a cut air box and the carbon termi exhaust. The check engine light has been on since I bought it and does not impact performance. I was told when the air box was cut by the owner they probably removed the O2 sensor. I have had it serviced by a Ducati dealership every year. This year it's due for the 7500 mile service. This model had expanding gas tank issues which I had the Ducati dealership address. There are some small chips in the paint which were there when I purchased the bike.

I have put some custom parts on it which include:

Oberon mirrors and barend directionals. One mirror has a chip in it and one directional is scuffed.

Rizoma handgrips

CRG shorty levers

Puig front cowl

Integrated LED taillight

black chain with red master link

Speedy moto frame sliders

Black rizoma handlebar

Ducati open clutch cover carbon

Black rizoma front foot pegs

Wheel hugger rear fender.

Supersprox rear sprocket (less than 500 miles)

Speigler clutch line

Ducati tank protector

This is the last time I am listing this before putting it in storage.

Every winter it has been stored at the Ducati dealership and received a spring service. In the summer it has been garaged.

There are brand new Michelin pilot tires on it with less than 500 miles on them.

I am selling this because I bought a dog and bring him with me everywhere and have been using the bike less and less and it is not practical for me as a daily commuter.

Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I still owe a small amount on the loan I used to finance the bike, so it may take a week or so to get the title. I have a black key and a red key.

Please email with any questions or if you would like more photos.

(Despite what the listing states, I am not shipping to the UK, Australia or Canada.  I can't seem to change this in the listing settings)

Thanks!

Ducati Celebrates 1 Million Facebook Likes – Video

Mon, 28 May 2012

Facebook has been getting a bad rap of late with its recent IPO but that didn’t stop Ducati from celebrating its millionth “Like” on the official Ducati Facebook page. The Italian manufacturer marked the occasion with a video thanking its fans. The video is almost a real-life demonstration of how Facebook operates, following a first-person perspective of a fan visiting Ducati‘s headquarters in Bologna, Italy, and raising a thumb to “like” things he sees such the rows of L-Twin-powered motorcycles in the parking lot, Corse racebikes on display at the Ducati Museum, factory workers assembling a Ducati 1199 Panigale.
