You are looking at a 2000 Buell X1 Lightning. It is black with a blue frame and factory PM wheels. It currently has 26,xxx miles. I believe I am the third owner. I bought this Buell in 2007 with 10,xxx miles, so as you can see, I've had it for a while. Mechanically, it is completely stock except for a K & N filter. The engine, exhaust and ECU have not been modified in any way. According to the guy I bought it from, the H-D clutch and timing covers were put on by the original owner. I polished the rear subframe, to better complement the wheels and covers. The rear hugger was also removed by a previous owner. Other than that, everything else is stock. Even the rear fender is intact. I have changed the oil every 3000 miles or so using Mobil 1 synthetic and had a 20k mile service done by the local Harley dealer. The tires were replaced last year, and I had the seat recovered at the same time. This is an increasingly rare bike to see on the road, especially one that has not been overly modified. 1998 Buell S1 Lightning. Bought new in 1999 and owned by my family the whole time. A Buell is a sportbike with a stroked out 1203 cc Harley Davidson engine. Dunlop sportmax 2 tires, EBC brake pads, K&N air filter, Vance and Hines exhaust, Barnett easy pull cluth cable, Corbin leather seat (retaining tab broken needs fixed). My son...had a slow speed corner crash on it. I have replaced the damaged parts. New airbox cover, new carbon fiber wind screen, new head light, new turn signals. The carbs need cleaned. It will need repainted and has the well known documented air bubble issue on the fuel tank. This is fixed by painting it with the correct # PPG paint. I can give you that information. Has minor tail bodywork damage that would be fixed with the paint job anyways. The bike is in fine running order just needs a little TLC. Kelly blue book lists at $2700. I'm asking a grand less to move it before winter and for you to have it repainted and put few hundred into it to make it yours. Selling it because as I am getting older (cough cough) I have updated to a cruiser. Buy it, love it...it will soon be a vintage classic bike. What we have is a 1999 Buell X1 Lighting in Great Conduction. New Continental tires and serviced, at 6,500 miles. I swapped out the stock air cleaner for a Forcewinder, and carbon fiber fuel tank trim, and added Napoleon bar end mirrors. The bike also has a Vanes & Hines muffler. The stock body parts are included in the auction, and a 1999 parts and service manual, that states 101 horsepower @ 6000rpm and 90ft-lbs torque @ 5500 rpm. All lights/blinkers, &gauges work fine. This is defiantly a fun bike to ride and draws attention from sport bike, and HD riders, alike. Fri, 18 Jul 2014The EBR 1190RX had its best finish to date in the FIM Superbike World Championship (WSBK) series during the only US round at Laguna Seca in Salinas, Calif., this past weekend. In an exciting twist, the wild card entry of Larry Pegram running the #72 Foremost Insurance/EBR/AMSOIL/Hero entry garnered a 14th place finish in the second race, earning the first-ever WSBK points for an American motorcycle manufacturer. [In actuality, Pegram's EBR crossed the line in 16th place. However, the two Bimota BB3 entries who finished eighth and ninth with riders Ayrton Badovini and Christian Iddon, respectively, have had their finishes nullified all season because Bimota has not met the FIM's homologation requirements.

Tue, 01 Jul 2014At the recent press ride of the EBR 1190RX, held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, EBR surprised those in attendance by unveiling the next model in its lineup, the 1190SX streetfighter. EBR is calling it “a true naked streetfighter-style sport bike with uncompromised Superbike race-bred performance and handling.” However, virtually no information was given on the bike in order to build hype and suspense. Now more information is trickling in from EBR, the latest being official pricing and specs.

The 1190SX borrows heavily from EBR’s 1190RX superbike contender that MO’s Troy Siahaan is scheduled to test today at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Although no specs have been released, the SX appears to use most of the RX’s hardware: 1190cc V-Twin engine; aluminum fuel-carrying frame; massive 386mm single-disc front brake.
