2002 R1150r JetBlack Roadster/Rockster (2001)
This bike is like brand new and is hard to find in pristine condition with low miles. Of course, you will find a few minor blemishes and nicks here and there due to normal riding. I tried to show those in the pics. Clean title, single-owner. This bike does NOT have ABS brakes. Has always been stored indoors. Has heated grips for when the weather gets colder. Everything is absolutely up to date and bike is running perfectly except for the front tire. You may get just a few hundred miles left unless you ride in the rain (I never did), then I would replace it ASAP. Hard to imagine a better bike. Sadly, the bike fell over once in my garage. Replaced left kick stand, brake handle and shifter. That was a sad day. Bike has had all its scheduled services done at a BMW licensed dealer/mechanic and is in absolutely perfect working order. I have all the maintenance receipts. The bike only required one repair to the fuel line quick-disconnects. They were replaced by me.

I added the BMW right & left system cases and wider & taller windscreen from Wunderlich. It has normal wear & tear but no damage (never been down) and everything works as it should. It's due for new tires (last new set went on 7K miles ago); still some tread there but I did have to plug a hole in the rear recently so it's a good idea to replace both. Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG – KTM’s parent company – reached an agreement on ‘future strategic cooperation’, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of €30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agusta’s entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.

Expect Y-AMT on the MT-09 and other sporty streetbikes Yamaha announced a new automatic transmission system, joining the list of manufacturers introducing some form of electronic gear shifting technology following Honda, BMW, and KTM. The Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission (Y-AMT) system allows for quick shifting without the need for a manual clutch lever, with Yamaha claiming more consistently faster and precise shifting than the latest quickshifters currently available. Y-AMT isn’t Yamaha’s first foray into automatic shifting.

A new entry-level class will debut in 2026 The World Supersport 300 championship is on its penultimate lap, with the entry-level racing series set to end following the 2025 racing season. According to an announcement from the Superbike Commission which sets the regulations for production-based racing, the 300 class will be replaced by a new entry-level series for 2026 and beyond. At a micro level, the news is not entirely surprising.
