BMW R-Series description

Up for bid is my 2016 R1200RT.  This is the premium package with all the extras and pre wired for BMW GPS.  It has the factory BMW detachable touring pack purchased when new.  The only extra it lacks is the keyless ignition/entry.  I purchased the bike 4 months ago for over $22,5000 but financial hardship forces me to sale it.  It has less than 4500 miles on it and it comes with factory warranty with over 30 months and 30,000 miles left on the warranty.  The bike is in like new condition, not a single scratch! Always serviced at BMW of Jacksonville Florida. Please call me if you have any questions 912-223-0841, text or email.

BMW Sales Down 2.3% in First Half of 2012 but Record Finish Still Predicted

Fri, 06 Jul 2012

BMW predicts a record year for motorcycle sales despite a 2.3% dip over the first six months. The first half of 2012 saw BMW sell 59,189 units, down from the 60,580 units reported for the same period in 2011. The decrease is primarily because of a 13.2% drop in sales in June.

2024 BMW M 1000 XR Review – First Ride

Thu, 30 May 2024

An M bike for every road Wet, cool, low visibility. What other conditions could I possibly ask for when getting to test BMW’s carbon fiber-laden, $30.5 grand 200+-horsepower M tourer? Our half day onboard the BMW M 1000 XR started out of Malaga, Spain, and wound up into hills fully socked in with the morning’s marine layer.

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.
