BMW R-Series description

1976 BMW R75/6, 20K miles, 100% all original parts (including tools) + saddlebags and running perfectly. Antique, a true beauty.

Selling because I am moving into an apartment and need to get a newer bike.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Some comments from questions that potential buyers have had:

Now, in terms of details of this motorcycle:

1- I am the 3rd owner of this bike.
2- We did a fine tuning of the bike about 2 months ago (changed spark plugs, rubber protectors, put in a brand new battery) so it runs perfectly good. My next move on the bike was buying a new seat as the one it has (original) is just a bit rusty. You get a lot of options from ebay and other online vendors.
3- If you wish to buy this bike, you must keep in mind it is an antique. It powers on, you can drive it and you will have an amazing ride, but every now and then you need to take care of it.
This is definitely a bike you want to have and take care of. Also having space to store it correctly is important.
There is another person interested about this bike who asked the this same question, and I replied this same comments. His response was that he wanted to restore it and put it in his living room.

So, in essence, I purchased this bike about a year ago. I took short and medium trips (my office commute of 15 mins and a few trips to West Palm Beach of about 1-2 hrs), which were a lot of fun and the bike performed well.

How To Adjust the Clutch Cable on a Motorcycle

Thu, 17 Oct 2024

It goes by many names: Clutch free play, clutch slack, or clutch tension describes the amount of free movement your motorcycle’s clutch lever has before it begins pulling on the clutch cable itself. Why does that matter? The clutch installed on your bike is a wear item, and as the friction plates within the clutch wear out from countless engagements and disengagements, they become thinner.
