Pricing And Preorders For Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Announced

Preorder period for North America lasts from July 23 - August 16 Royal Enfield has announced pricing for the Himalayan 450 in the United States and Canada. In addition, the bike will be available for preorder in North America from July 23 through August 16. The Himalayan 450 will be available for presale purchase in Kaza Brown, Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Poppy Blue, and Hanle Black.

BMW Begins Motorcycle Production in Thailand

BMW has opened a new motorcycle assembly line at the company’s factory in Thailand. The facility will initially only produce F800R roadsters from complete knock-down kits for the Thai market, though BMW plans to eventually make the facility a production hub for other Asian markets. The Thai facility is BMW’s first wholly-owned motorcycle assembly plant outside of Germany, though the company does share facilities in Manaus, Brazil with local manufacturer DAFRA Motos.

2014 WSBK – Laguna Seca Results

Marco Melandri rebounded from last week’s disappointing Portimao round to win Race One at Laguna Seca while Tom Sykes extended his championship lead with a win in a red-flagged Race Two. Melandri got taken out of the second Portimao race after his Aprilia teammate Sylvain Guintoli slid into his RSV4. Melandri looked eager to make up for that DNF, leading every lap of Race One on his way to his third win of the season.
