BMW K-Series description

The last and the best of the K1300S series BMW. 2016 will be the last production year of the K1300S. The bike is all stock, flawless, in an as new condition with 334 miles on the tach. A smooth and powerful allrounder with 175 HP, 103 lb/ft torque. All BMW options: BMW motorsport colors, heated grips, TPM, ABS, ESA 2, ASC, Gear shift assist, Akrapovic exhaust, carbon fibre bits, on board computer, forged wheels, etc. The bike has an existing and transferable 3 year, 36000 mile warranty, valid until Aug 2019. Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.

2013 BMW R1200GS Telelever Problem Explained in Transport Canada Recall

Earlier this week, we wrote about reports in the Italian media of a delay on deliveries of the 2013 BMW R1200GS because of an issue with the suspension. Transport Canada has now issued a recall notice on BMW‘s new GS – the third to come from the Canadian government agency – that would explain the delay. According to Transport Canada, the threaded plugs securing the fork tubes to the upper triple clamp may come loose over time on some units.

The BMW Group reported a 14.8% increase in motorcycle revenue and a 6.5% increase in unit sales during the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2011. The German manufacturer sold 28,862 units over the quarter, including 26,312 BMW-branded motorcycles and 2,550 units from its Husqvarna subsidiary.
