BMW K-Series description

2008 BMW K1200S model in excellent condition.
Adult owned (age 52) and operated. This is one of many bikes that I own and my 5th BMW sport touring bike. As stated the bike is in excellent condition with no damage, blemishes or scratches. The bike has never been dropped, down or involved in any kind of accident. Dealer maintained with full records. Recent oil change and new Michelin Pilot Sport PS4 tires. The bike has many upgrades to include a Sargent leather seat and rear locking cowl (factory seat included), Remus Carbon Fiber exhaust, MRA windscreen, various carbon fiber parts and aftermarket clutch and brake levers. The bike is light and agile and a lot of fun to ride. It is fast and even as an experienced rider this bike is not for the faint of heart! The sound of the Remus pipe is really nice and throaty but not too loud. See specifications of bike below:

BMW Partners with India’s TVS Motor, Plans Sub-500cc Models

  BMW announced it has signed a long-term agreement with Indian manufacturer TVS Motor to develop and produce small-displacement motorcycles. The two companies have been in discussions for several months now, but alliance is only now official. Under the agreement, BMW and TVS will work together to develop a new model with an engine displacement smaller than 500cc.

BMW Design Chief David Robb Steps Down; Edgar Heinrich Named Successor

David Robb, the man responsible for BMW‘s split-face motorcycle design, has left the German manufacturer. A native of Boston, Mass., Robb joined BMW as its design chief in 1993, and over the ensuing 18 years expanded the company’s product line to include the top selling R1200GS, the six-cylinder K1600GT and GTL, and the S1000RR superbike (that’s him on the far right in the picture above). The 56-year-old’s latest design to enter production are the C600 Sport and C650GT maxi-scooters.

BMW Announces Winners of “Ride of Your Life” Tour Contest

BMW Motorrad announced the winners of its “Ride of Your Life” contest, giving five people the chance to travel on a worldwide tour on the new R1200GS. The five winners are Stephanie Rowe, a 25-year-old enduro racer who works in the motorcycle accessories industry in the U.K., Herbert Unger, a 50-year-old German metal worker, Alessio Cigolini, an Italian who loves riding through Tuscany, Salvador Echevarrķa, a 41-year-old businessman from Spain, and Stephane Gautronneau, a 39-year-old fashion photographer from France. The five winners were selected for their sense of adventure, ability to work as part of a team and physical fitness by a panel of celebrities including actors Adrian Brody, Rick Yune and Charley Boorman and Paris-Dakar winner Jutta Kleinschmidt.
