Yamaha XT description

1 . . . . These YAMAHA 500 SINGLE Cylinder FOUR-Stroke models carried quite a history since the very first ones in 1976. It was the start of several new models in Yamaha's lineup with the Off-Road only version called the TT500 and the Street only version called the SR500. All of them had the same torquey 500 "THUMPER" engine that had such great low end torque when matched up with the two-stroke rivals. This one was a very reliable power plant and reasonable weight conscious for cycles in that era.

This particular vehicle was purchased from the original YAMAHA dealer in Sturgeon Bay and serviced there as well.  It has always been kept inside and prepped for storage early in the fall.  It has had it's recent oil and filter change and tune-up.  The silencer end of the original exhaust muffler was upgraded to a newer style that no longer has a problem with rusting out, but still looks great and sounds original.  All of the rest of the original components are still on this cycle.  I don't have a better way of explaining how nice and trustworthy this cycle really is except to say that you will just have to make it yours and be the happy new owner.  I only decided to sell it due to some health issues; otherwise would have no thoughts of ever selling it.  For any questions please feel free to call (920)495-7686 from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

SEE THE MACHINE that could propel Britain to a new motorcycle land speed world record at The Race Retro 2010 show, held at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry from 12th to 14th March. Almost a year has passed since Visordown broke the news of the planned UK assault on the land speed record - this coming August the Angelic Bulldog team travels to Bonneville, where it is hoping to smash the 400mph barrier and bring the motorcycle Land Speed Record back to the UK for the first time since 1937. The current record stands at 360.913mph over a kilometre.

Frog eBike – the Electric Successor to 1985 Frog FZ750 Concept

Tue, 03 Apr 2012

San Francisco-based Frog Design released images of a new electric motorcycle concept, just as its influential Yamaha FZ750-based Rana concept gets enshrined at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Frog designer Jin Soek Hwang prepared the Frog eBike concept as an expression of how electric motor technology can influence motorcycle design. In a post on Frog’s blog, the designer says he was inspired in part by Frog’s 1985 FZ750 Rana concept (pictured after the jump).

2012 Yamaha TMax Scooter Unveiled At EICMA

Wed, 09 Nov 2011

Not one to rest on its laurels, Yamaha’s sportbike/scooter hybrid, the TMax, was unveiled earlier today at EICMA with a few important upgrades to keep it ahead of the competition. The most apparent change from the previous generation TMax is the redesigned bodywork, which boasts an even more aggressive look while maintaining the classic TMax looks. The distinctive double headlights, enhanced accent lines, and an upwards-swooping LED tail assembly all lend to highlight the TMax’s sporting nature.
