Very clean factory built cafe-racer. Tornado red w/white racing stripes. Pictures can't do justice to the sense of nostalgia that these bikes conjure in person. 2008 was the last year the Thruxton was produced with carburetors instead of EFI. Factory standard clip-on handle-bars. She's a great commuter and awesome for long trips, just lean on the tank and GO. Single owner, clean title, bought new from D&D Cycles in Penscola, FL. Garage kept, never dropped, 8,838 miles (mix of Highway and City) no leaks, or problems. Runs great. Included additional equipment: used flip front/full coverage helmet, rain cover, 2 hard saddle bags (never used) without mounts. Local pickup or actual shipping cost at buyer expense, separate from motorcycle shipping. 2012 Triumph Speed Triple R Unveiled at EICMA
Tue, 08 Nov 2011Triumph’s legendary Speed Triple receives the ‘R’ treatment for 2012, which means it comes equipped with top-shelf parts like Öhlins suspension and Pirelli Supercorsa SP rubber. Judging from its looks alone, it’s plain to see that this is no ordinary Speed Triple. Triumph worked in close collaboration with Öhlins, to fine tune the NIX30 43mm fork and TTX36 shock to work specifically for the Speed Triple R.

The thing about modern day sports tyres is they offer huge grip when fully leant over, but we are often too nervous to make the most of this, simply because the British road surfaces are changeable and largely unpredictable.
Triumph Releases Third Adventure Bike Teaser Video
Fri, 03 Sep 2010Triumph has released the third in a series of videos teasing its two upcoming adventure motorcycles, this one describing the bikes’ new chassis. We know from the first two installments that Triumph is developing two models, one focused for on-road riding, the other for off-road, and both models will use a mid-sized long-stroke three-cylinder engine. The third part tells us the two models will use a steel frame and feature an upright riding geometry.
