The defending champion Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) have had a rough season this year, with exactly zero victories to its name. However, at the season finale LeMans 24-hour race, the team turned their fortunes around. Intermot 2012: Special Edition Suzuki GSX-R1000 Celebrates 1 Millionth Gixxer

Suzuki is celebrating the production of the 1 millionth motorcycle in the GSX-R family with a limited edition model. Unveiled at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, the Millionth Edition 2013 Suzuki GSX-R1000 comes with a commemorative paint scheme, black Brembo brake calipers, pin-striped wheels, gold fork tubes and red fork caps, suspension spring and nose. The top yoke also features a numbered Millionth Edition plate and the key is decorated with Suzuki’s red “R” logo.

Suzuki Contributes to Philippines Typhoon Relief Efforts

Suzuki announced it will donate „7 million (US$70,013) in aid to help those in the Philippines affected by Typhoon Haiyan. Suzuki joins Honda and Yamaha which have both previously pledged aid to the Philippines. The latest numbers have raised the death toll to 3,951 people, with another 1,598 still unaccounted for, and another 4 million displaced from their homes.
