                                                                      1976 Honda CB550F Super Sport

You are bidding to win my 1976 Honda CB550F Super Sport.  This bike starts and runs perfect.  Everything has been gone through on the bike, including the carbs synched, engine tuned up, fuel tank is lined and perfect inside, bike has original exhaust including the correct Honda muffler, exhaust is stamped:  HMCCB550F HM390    The exhaust is literally perfect with no rust as you can see.  I rode the bike today, November 3, 2016 for 25 miles and it rides awesome with great brakes, shifts like butter, accelerates smoothly and will really go if you want it to.  The bike idles nicely too and it has a throttle cruise control if you want to use it.  AND, the blinkers work perfectly, including the actual clicking sound which is awesome becasue you hardly ever see the clickers working.  The lights, both headlight and tail light work great, including high/low beam.  I have posted a video on YOU TUBE:  search under:  Vehicles for "1976 Honda CB550F Super Sport start up".   Very impressive motorcycle.  The tires are almost new as you can see.  There is no rust anywhere on this bike.  It also has the original air box, air filter and air snorkel as pictured under the seat.  The seat is almost like new.  The frame is perfectly bone stock.  There are no bends or any other issues with this bike.  Both gauges are very clear and the glass has no fog or scratches and the gauges both work as they should.  The miles are original miles to this bike.  There are NO oil leaks.  NO wierd noises. It is a really fine piece of Honda motorcycle history.  I love the bike.  It was re-painted by a professional motorcycle painter, using the correct decals and an awesome fine metal flake blue.   If you are looking to own a very cool vintage Honda, then this CB550F Super Sport might just be for you.  Bid to win.   These are pretty rare bikes and almost impossible to find with the original exhaust like this.  I thank you very much.   This is a 40 year old motorcycle.  I have done my best to describe it and provide 24 high def. pictures.  Please use a computer to look at the pictures and please read my entire description prior to bidding.   Also, please understand that per eBay rules, a seller is not allowed to disclose the RESERVE.  Just bid what you are willing to pay for this fine bike.  I will be letting the auction run the full 5 days.   PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS PAY PAL ONLY.  YOU MUST EMAIL ME YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AS LINKED TO YOUR PAY PAL ACCOUNT AS SOON AS THE AUCTION ENDS.  THEN, I SEND YOU AN INVOICE FOR THE FULL PRICE.  EASY TO DO.  PLEASE COMPLY.   PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10 POSITIVE FEEDBACKS, YOU MUST MESSAGE ME BEFORE YOU BID AND CONCUR THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO PERFORM IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION.  THANKS

SHIPPING:  I do not ship vehicles,  and I am not a dealer or a mechanic.  The buyer is responsible to arrange and pay for their own shipping or pick the vehicle up.  I will store the vehicle for up to 30 days.  Please try to get it picked up by then, otherwise, storage fees of $10 per day will be added to what you owe. Thanks.

PAYMENT:  Please, PAY PAL ONLY.   I send you an Invoice as soon as the auction ends and you pay the Invoice then please.  You will need to give me your email address as soon as you buy the bike ok?  These are my terms.  Thank you.

American Honda Extends Partnership With GEICO Honda

Fri, 26 Sep 2014

From a Honda press release: American Honda Motor Corp., Inc. announced today that it has renewed its contract with GEICO Honda for an additional three years, ensuring that the Factory Connection-run program will continue running Honda’s factory-supported 250 team through the 2017 season. Honda’s long professional relationship with Factory Connection owners Mike Grondahl, Jeff Majkrzak and Rick Zielfelder started in 1995, when the company began providing the factory team with suspension-related technical support.

Used: MOTOTENT by Lone Rider

Mon, 12 Aug 2013

Since wild camping in the UK is generally regarded as trespassing, I opted for a crowded campsite in the heart of Sussex, open fires allowed, to see if the MOTOTENT is worth the £399 price tag. On the face of it the MOTOTENT is essentially a two man dome tent with a porch, Well I can pick up one of those up from Argos for £100 or less. Also I was struggling to understand why you would buy a tent that you can sleep in and store your bike in overnight, certainly in the UK most places you are likely to stay are fairly secure campsites.

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.
