We just traded in this sweeet 2012 RS-S SE5 Can Am Spyder Roadster on a new Can Am Spyder F3. It is a one owner bike. sold and serviced here from new, so we know its whole service history! It is a close to perfect in condition as any used bike can be, with no known cosmetic or mechanical issues whatsoever. The color is called Can Am Red, but to the whole world Can Am red looks orange in person. Her previous owner Ed took great care of her, and he added a few accessories which really make it a comfortable ride. Ed added the rider footboards, ($175), the ultra touring windscreen with knee wind deflectors ($389), the rear sportrack ($450) with backrest ($320), 3" handlebar risers ($200) and the premium comfort seat ($510). That's over $2000 worth of accessories! It makes the RS a much more comfortable tourer! The bike itself features the powerful 990cc water cooled, fuel injected Rotax v twin mated to a 5 speed semi automatic (push button shift, no clutch!) with reverse. It has ABS brakes, stability control system (VSS), power steering and the good Fox suspension which the "S" package provides. Like all Spyders, it has generous storage in the front nose for the distance traveler. That's it, buy it and ride it home! Serious bidders only, bid to win. Developed in partnership with the Advanced Technology Center at Sherbrooke University in Quebec and with funding from the Government of Canada, the hybrid Spyder is an ambitious project for BRP. We met up with Scott MacWilliam from BRP at the Toronto Motorcycle Show to take a look at a working prototype of the Can-Am’s hybrid three-wheeler.
NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool

2008-2012 Can-Am Spyder Fuel Vapor Leak Recalls Expands to US
Thu, 20 Dec 2012A pair of recalls for fuel vapor leaks on Can-Am Spyder roadsters has expanded to the U.S. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, one recall affects 9,600 units from model years 2008-2010 while the second, larger recall affects 33,700 from model years 2008-2012. An earlier recalls from Transport Canada affects 9400 units for the a fuel cap issue and 2,431 units for a fuel vapor canister vent hose issue.
