BUELL 1125R These Buell's were only built for the street for 2 years then they were only built for road racing after 2009. It is the 1125R model. Buell used a Rotax Helicon power plant that produces about 140 HP. It is fuel injected with a 6-speed transmission. This bike is perfect for someone who wants a street/track bike. The previous owner took good care of this bike. It does not appear or have any signs of being down or abused. It has a Jardine RT-5 exhaust. The rest of the bike is stock and the rear pegs have been removed by the previous owner. I never received them so this bike will not come with rear pegs. The only flaw I noticed is the dash cover has a few stress cracks. The lens is smooth on the outside so the cracks are inside and it doesn't appear any water can get in. The paint is in great condition with no major flaws. I have checked the bike over and it will come with brand new Dunlop tires and new rear brakes. The fronts have about 50% pad life left. The Jardine exhaust sounds awesome on this 1125. I have taken it on a short reliability run and the motor, transmission and clutch sound and work as they should. 2014 WSBK Provisional Entry List – 27 Riders and 9 Manufacturers
Thu, 30 Jan 2014The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a provisional entry list for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The provisional list includes 27 riders riding motorcycles from nine different manufacturers. Of these riders, 12 are riding in the new EVO sub-category which limits engine upgrades and electronics to Superstock class rules.
Erik Buell Racing Streetbike Peers Out of the Darkness with LED Headlight
Fri, 09 Aug 2013Erik Buell Racing released another teaser image of its upcoming new production streetbike, revealing a new headlight design with twin LEDs. The teaser image (see the full image below) is thick with shadows so we can’t see very much else beyond the front tire, part of an upside-down fork and a glint of a brake lever. The headlight however is the clear focal point of the photograph.
FIM Eases WSBK Homologation Requirements
Sat, 22 Feb 2014With the 2014 World Superbike Championship now under way, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) announced a change in the homologation procedure for new motorcycles entering the series. The new regulations requires a minimum of 125 units produced in order to begin the homologation process. By the end of the first year of participation, manufacturers must have produced 250 units.
