I am selling my 1999 BMW F650 Funduro/Classic. It has 11,9xx miles today but I still ride it so could break 12,000 within a week. I love this motorcycle and it has always treated me well. I have used it to commute over the past couple years but I am now in the process of buying a new motorcycle. This is a single cylinder 652cc Rotax engine and is the more offroad oriented version of BMW's F650. 1999 was the last model year before the F650 became "F650GS".
Only thing not included is the soft wolfman luggage (2 soft bags in the picture) Bike needs a new seat cover and previous owner dropped it as you can see from the nicks in the clock and the painted section on the fairing. Without going too deeply the M5 consists of five bands of belting that vary in stiffness. At the outer edges of the tyre the carcass is quite flexible, allowing the rubber to move around and generate more heat and therefore grip, while nearer the tyre’s centre the carcass is stiffer, reducing the rubber’s movement and decreasing its wear.
BSB Superstock Championship Winning BMW S1000RR Stolen
Mon, 26 Sep 2011British Superbike racer Richard Cooper’s BMW S1000RR racebike was stolen mere hours after winning the 2011 British national Superstock title. Thieves reportedly broke into the Buildbase BMW race team’s truck after it returned to the team’s base in Leicestershire, England, from the series-clinching round at Britain’s Silverstone circuit. According to the team, thieves optained the keys to a van holding Cooper’s winning motorcycle and Superbike class racer John Laverty’s BMW S1000RR Superbike.
European Motorcycle Market Down 38% Since 2006
Wed, 25 Jan 2012New motorcycle registrations in Europe decreased 8.9% in 2011, reaching its lowest level in a decade. And with the state of the economy in Europe, things might get worse. According to provisional numbers released by the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers, Europeans registered 1.72 million motorcycles, scooters and mopeds in 2011, down from 1.89 million registrations in 2010.
