Yamaha YZF description

Up for sale is my 1997 YZF600R. This bike is a very nice ride! Bike has 25,600mis, adult driven. Runs excellent, gets great gas mileage, and looks really cool. When I got this bike it was a little rough as far as appearance, so I replaced all of the front end and side fairing plastics. I pre-owned factory match paint to repaint them and added a little bit of custom paint work and custom graphics for its cool look. Here is what else has been done to the bike:Custom graphicsDash panels all removed and painted whiteIridium double bubble windscreenflush mount iridium front signalsintegrated rear tail light/turn signalsaftermarket mirrors with built in LED signalscustom blue kevlar braided brake lines w/red fittings front and rear5" frame sliders with delron replaceable tipscarbon look clutch and brake levers, and bar endsdrilled rearsets with blue racing pegscustom reverse glow indiglo guagescustom painted white/black wheels w/blue yamaha rim stripesall rotors were removed and painted black520 conversion sprocket and chain kitAlso: The exhaust on this bike is a BEOWULF WARRIOR diamond shape slip on. This thing was hand crafted in England, and shipped to me here in MO! It was very expensive and is very cool. As far as I know there is not another 1 on a YZF600R anywhere else in the states. It also has the best deep sound I have ever heard. I wanted something different, and I got it with this one, its truly sweet! The motor is all stock and runs really good. I have always pre-owned MOBIL one full synthetic motorcycle oil and yamaha filters. Valves were checked, and carbs were cleaned about 750mis ago. Still gets 40+ miles per gallon. It is not absolutely perfect, there are a couple of minor flaws. The right side fairing color match is not perfect but close, its just not as glossy as factory original paint. The graphics have also started to fade just a bit on that side. The paint on the dash panel has a few chips. These are noticeable in the pics if you look really close.I have owned this bike for the past 8 yrs. Its been a good ride. I hate to get rid of it, I have put a lot of time and effort into building it just the way I wanted it. However, I am getting older and a recent wrist injury makes me think its time to go the cruiser route. My wife also likes to ride with me and its getting tougher for us to ride together on this, ready for something a little more comfortable for 2 up riding. This bike has clean title in my name, ready to goNo test rides unless cash in hand and valid motorcycle license, no tire kickers$2000 OBO. MAKE ME AN OFFER! May trade, trade must have title! Worst I can do is say no so offer up......For an extra $200 I will throw in my Joe Rocket textile Yamaha jacket size XL and my Bostrom edition SUOMY spec-1R EXTREME helmet size L. I have included pics of both.Call or text or email. NO SCAMS, NO BS

Kenny Roberts Motorcycle Collection Up For Sale

Wed, 25 Apr 2012

Motorcycling legend Kenny Roberts has commissioned RMD Motors to auction off some rare and exclusive motorcycles from his collection, presumably to make room for more. The Japan-based company is known the world over for its collection of rare and classic motorcycles for sale, many of which are retired grand prix machines fortunate enough to escape the fate of most decommissioned racebikes: the crusher.  Headlining the Roberts collection is the 2004 Proton KRV5 originally ridden by Kurtis Roberts, King Kenny’s youngest son. The five-cylinder grand prix machine never achieved much success on the world stage, but will easily make you the center of attention at your local trackday.
