2005 Yamaha yz450f. Runs great
bike was stripped down Completely to repaint the frame and color match the subframe, swingarm and handlebars as well as other trim parts. Other parts were either painted or powder coated black as well as the carburetor and gas tank. New top end gaskets were changed when the motor was apart as well as new bearings on swingarm,etc. no reserve auction. Makes a perfect Christmas present. Less than four hours on bike since all fluids and air filter were changed. Green sticker good until 2018.

Yamaha Acquires Stake in KYB’s Motorcycle Suspension Business

KYB is separating its motorcycle suspension business from its other operations, and forming a new company with Yamaha. The two companies will form a joint venture to be known as KYB Motorcycle Suspension Co., Ltd., offering motorcycle suspension components to OEMs including Yamaha. Yamaha will acquire a 33.4% stake in KYB Motorcycle Suspension Co.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.

The Diavel is my new bike of the year. Not being a huge Ducati fan, when I was thrown the keys of this monster at Silverstone on Tuesday I was expecting an ill handling, weighty beast that would run out of revs and scare me to death. Well I couldn’t have been more wrong as I had an absolute blast.
