I BOUGHT THIS R6 IN DEC OF 2012, IN JULY THE 2ND GEAR WENT OUT, I BOUGHT A NEW TRANSMISSION FOR IT AND WAS GOING TO HAVE IT OVERHAULED, I BOUGHT A 2003 MOTOR AND ALL THE ELECTRONICS THAT WENT WITH IT, WATCHED THE MOTOR BENCH RUNNED, POWER COMMANDER 3 INCLUDED, THE MECHANIC I HAD WORK ON IT SCREWED THE WIRE HARNESS UP, SO I BOUGHT A NEW WIRE HARNESS, BUT AFTER A FEW TESTS FOUND OUT THE LEAN SENSOR AND THE HEADLIGHT RELAY, AND STARTER SWITCH WERE OUT, SHE POWERS UP NICE, BUT HAD TO CROSS THE SILINOID TO START IT, NOW IM STRAPPED AND NEED TO SELL HER TO A GOOD HOME, WE ARE PRICING TO SELL, I ALSO HAVE THE MANUAL DOWN LOADED, AND HAVE EXTRA RIMS AND BRAND NEW PERELLI DIABLO 2 TIRES, ALL ARE INCLUDED IN THE SALE. YOU WILL HAVE TO PICK UP OR SHIP THE BIKE, IT WEIGHS 380 DRY.

2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase

The Motorcycle Industry Council reported a 2.6% increase in motorcycle sales in the U.S. market for 2012. According to the industry group’s figures, American consumers purchased 452,386 motorcycles in 2012 compared to 440,899 motorcycles in 2011.

Japan Needs Your Help

By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees  and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.

2011 World Supersport Champion Chaz Davies

Chaz Davies has captured the 2011 Supersport World Championship, completing a triumphant return to the series for Yamaha. Davies, the 2008 Daytona 200 winner, finished the Magny-Cours round in sixth place, giving him an insurmountable 35-point lead over Hannspree Ten Kate Honda‘s Fabien Foret with one race remaining. The championship comes in Yamaha‘s return from a one-year absence from the series.
