Yamaha YZF description
For auction is an amazing '01 YZ426, this thing is a beast. Nicest you will find. Bike is in excellent condition and is ready to ride, race, whatever. About 20 hours on a completely new top end, piston, rings, stock titanium valves, timing chain, manual tensioner, new guide seals, all new gaskets and seals, it is broken in and valves adjusted with correct shims, this thing is sweet. Starts easy, runs smooth, TONS of power. I would take a 426 over any of the new 450's any day of the week. Buy it now of $2300 and a reserve about half that and it is worth every penny. Ebay made me put a title status, this bike does not have a title, as an off-road dirtbike it was never issued a title. Delivery on the east coast possible for a fee, just get in touch and maybe we can work something out. I can help arrange national shipping at buyers expense. Please email with any questions. For sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early. |

Yamaha Gets Monster Energy MotoGP Team Sponsorship, Annuls Lorenzo’s RockStar Sponsorship Deal
Fri, 21 Dec 2012Yamaha has reportedly signed energy drink maker Monster Energy to sponsor its factory MotoGP team, according to Spanish site MotoCuatro.com. The new sponsorship deal created a bit of a problem however, as Yamaha‘s star rider Jorge Lorenzo recently signed a two-year contact extension to his personal sponsorship deal with RockStar, a rival energy drink maker. To get around this sticky situation, MotoCuatro reports Yamaha will invoke a clause in Lorenzo’s contract allowing the manufacturer to veto and buy out his RockStar contract.
Yamaha to Produce PES1 and PED1 Electric Motorcycles by 2016
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Yamaha announced plans to release the production versions of its PES1 and PED1 concept models within two years as part of the company’s plans to enter the electric motorcycle segment. The PES1 and PED1 (which stands for “Passion, Electric, Street” and “Passion, Electric, Dirt”) concepts were first revealed at last November’s Tokyo Motor Show. In the company’s newly-published annual report, Yamaha confirmed plans to produce the two models, saying: “In sports motorcycles, we are working to create new value with EV sports motorcycles, which we aim to launch in two years, with the development of the small, on-road sports PES1, as well as the PED1, which are being developed to expand the scope of electric vehicles to the off-road world.
Used Review: Dainese Jerico R winter gloves
Fri, 04 Mar 2011DAINESE JERICO-R Being stuck up a mountain with your bike buried to the pegs in snow is not the best place to be a week before Christmas, especially when its 1200kms from home. Only owning perforated summer gloves is also far from ideal. This is the situation I found myself in and seeing as everything in Italy costs a million Euros, I wasn’t prepared to spend a fortune on a set of discontinued Oxford heated grips from the local motocross shop. A very pretty girl called Fanny at Chitrrai Yamaha, near Perugia, showed me the winter glove options.
