IMPORTANT - Terms of sale:

I reserve the right to end this auction early, as I also have it for sale locally.

I highly encourage you to come and look at this bike if you are concerned about its condition.  I explained the condition above as well as I could.  Please keep in mind that it is used and is therefore not perfect.  Your opinion on its condition could differ from mine, so please take a look at it before bidding if you want to.

Payment: $300 non-refundable Paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction close.  The rest will be due in cash (in person), bank check, or bank-to-bank wire transfer within 7 days of auction close when you pick it up.  If you cannot complete the transaction within 7 days of auction close, please contact me before bidding and we will see what arrangements could be made.

Pickup:  You must pick up the bike, or make all shipping arrangements if you want to have it shipped.  I must have payment in full (with a bank check or bank-to-bank wire cleared) before I will release it to a shipper.  It's also possible that I could pick you up at Hartford, CT, Newburgh, NY, or White Plains, NY airports if you want to fly in and ride it home, for a $100 fee to cover my gas and time.  If you want to do this option, please contact me so we can agree on logistics.  The bike is in Cornwall Bridge, CT 06754.

Tax / Fees:  Because I am a CT dealer, there is a mandatory conveyance fee of $100 on all vehicles I sell, which is in addition to the winning bid.  If you live in CT, I must charge you 6.35% tax on top of the winning bid.  If you live outside of CT, you pay tax to your state (as necessary) when you register it - I do not collect this from from you.  If you live in CT and want me to do your registration paperwork, the conveyance fee goes up to $350 on top of the winning bid, plus all state registration fees.  Other than for CT residents (for tax), and the above mentioned fees, there are no additional fees on top of the winning bid.  I am an honest seller, so I will not put a lower price on the bill of sale.

Jefferies' TT V&M R1 for sale

Tue, 26 Apr 2011

We got a tip-off about a former David Jefferies TT R1 for sale on eBay. The owner says it's from the 1998 TT but I'm pretty sure it was the one he raced in 1999. Here's a little bit more background about the V&M TT effort in 1999: In 1990 Jack Valentine gave up racing to concentrate on running V&M Racing, and after being sacked by Honda at the end of the 1998 season, the team set about to do some giant killing.

Lovely new R1 cans from Harris

Thu, 30 Sep 2010

Harris Performance has just unveiled their new slip-on silencers and carbon composite heat shield for the 2009/10 Yamaha R1. Made to the usual Harris standards the cans are created from stainless steel and titanium. The silencers have fully removable baffles helping your R1 to breathe more easily and produce a fruity exhaust note.

Yamalube Motor Oil Video is Educational, British, and Brainwashing

Tue, 16 Jun 2009

Yamaha Motor Europe have just posted a new video up on Youtube about their Yamalube motor oil and why you should use it on your Yamaha products.  They are pretty damn convincing or very good at brainwashing! The video is pretty educational, explaining how motorcycle engines and car engines are very different, what a motorcycle engine really needs, and why Yamalube is very well suited for the job. Various graphs, charts, shots of scientists making oil, and the accented British narrator have further convinced me that I need to get Yamalube and perhaps even be adding it into my morning bowl of cereal.
