Selling a used 2008 Yamaha YZF-R1. Title is free and clear. The motorcycle looks and runs like new. No blemishes, no problems, runs and starts perfectly. Very low miles - 4,565. Was used primarily for work transportation (Gretna to Lincoln).
This motorcycle was always garage kept except for the winter months, whereby it was put in my basement. Before and after each ride, the motorcycle was cleaned with professional cleaning rags- you will not find a cleaner, used motorcycle. Details: Dealer installed full GYTR exhaust with carbon fiber heads. In addition, this motorcycle has a tank guard, fender eliminator, and aftermarket mirrors. Maintenance: Oil changed every spring and fall with full synthetic oil. In the spring, filters were changed and the motorcycle was given full inspection including the adjustment of fuel to air intake if necessary. Battery was replaced spring of 2016. Fri, 16 Mar 2012Tommy Hayden has signed on to race in the 2012 Daytona 200 for the Graves Yamaha team as an replacement for injured rider Garrett Gerloff. Gerloff broke his right femur in the first Daytona Sportbike class practice session for the Daytona 200, leaving Yamaha little time to find a replacement. Hayden had raced for Yamaha before, and those old ties reconnected quickly in time for the season opening race.

Tue, 23 Apr 2013The morning after riding his Yamaha M1 to a sixth-place finish at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, nine-time Grand Prix World Champion Valentino Rossi landed in Charlotte, N.C., to race around another track; only this time there were no right turns. (UPDATED with additional photos.) Rossi met up with NASCAR racer and fellow Monster Energy-sponsored athlete Kyle Busch to ride Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Busch, winner of the last three Nationwide Series races, gave Rossi a walkaround of his car before taking the Yamaha factory rider around a few laps of the Charlotte Motor Speedway 1.5-mile oval.
