Selling a used 2008 Yamaha YZF-R1. Title is free and clear. The motorcycle looks and runs like new. No blemishes, no problems, runs and starts perfectly. Very low miles - 4,565. Was used primarily for work transportation (Gretna to Lincoln).
This motorcycle was always garage kept except for the winter months, whereby it was put in my basement. Before and after each ride, the motorcycle was cleaned with professional cleaning rags- you will not find a cleaner, used motorcycle. Details: Dealer installed full GYTR exhaust with carbon fiber heads. In addition, this motorcycle has a tank guard, fender eliminator, and aftermarket mirrors. Maintenance: Oil changed every spring and fall with full synthetic oil. In the spring, filters were changed and the motorcycle was given full inspection including the adjustment of fuel to air intake if necessary. Battery was replaced spring of 2016. It’s unique in that cylinders fire 90-degrees apart, allegedly enabling better grip during acceleration. A byproduct of this design is an exhaust note that is distinctive in this world of cookie-cutter designs.

Thu, 05 May 2011Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.
