For sale is my 2007 Yamaha r1. Bike is in perfect condition. Bike is painted Dodge Viper red and black. Gold painted wheels(powder coated), H.I.D headlights, frame plugs, puig windscreen, seat cowl, carbon fiber exhaust, integrated brake and turn signal and blacked out everything(powder coated).
As I am no longer riding due to back issues, I have included everything I own for the bike. HJC helmet medium, cortech gloves medium, icon arc jacket large, front and rear bike stands, handle bar straps and battery charger. I also have original seat and rear pegs for the passenger. Jacket does have stains from dry cleaners, but still in great shape. Bike is well maintained with regular oil changes, has a kn air filter and iridium plugs. No engine work done on bike, engine is stock. I am selling the bike because no time to ride anymore and lower back pain. Bike is in great condition(see pictures) and all sales are final(no returns). Recall for 2009-2011 Yamaha V-Max
Fri, 30 Sep 2011Yamaha is issuing a recall campaign on certain 2009-2011 V-Max power cruisers due to a potential risk of oil pump malfunction. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, abnormally high oil pressure can build up within the oil pump of certain Yamaha V-Max models. The high pressure may force the washer on the oil pump shaft against the oil pump housing, causing oil to stop pumping through the engine.
Yamaha Quitting World Superbike Racing After 2011 Season
Mon, 01 Aug 2011Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.
