Yamaha YZF-R description

You are looking at a well kept 2007 Yamaha R1 with just over 19K miles (Commuter Miles).

This has been my transportation to work for the majority of the time since I purchased it.

I am the second owner of this motorcycle and purchased it from Southwest Superbikes in Dallas, TX with 4,500 miles.

I absolutely love and respect motorcycles and have taken very good care of this bike. I detest stunting and reckless riding, which is why this motorcycle has never been mistreated or wrecked.

Mechanically this bike is solid; cosmetically it shows signs of general wear and tear so it may have a small scratch here or there but overall it's in great shape

Oil/Filter Changes were always done per Yamaha Spec; I upgraded the spark plugs recently to NGK Iridiums; radiator has been recently flushed and filled with Engine ICE; I had all four ignition coil packs replaced recently because the originals were under OHM resistance spec.

Since I've owned this bike I've invested in many upgrades listed below:
  • The bike has been slightly lowered, but can be adjusted to meet the rider's preferences.
  • Zero Gravity Double Bubble WIndscreen.
  • Laminex Headlight Tint.
  • 6000K H7 HID Kit installed w/ Digital Ballast.
  • Flush mount Smoked Front LED Turn Signals.
  • Carbon Fiber Full Cell Fairing.
  • Carbon Fiber Front Mid Fairings.
  • Carbon Fiber Lower Belly Fairings.
  • APE Manual Cam Chain Tensioner.
  • Carbon Fiber Rear Exhaust Heat Shield.
  • Carbon Fiber Rear Cowling.
  • ASV Adjustable Brake and Clutch Levers.
  • Pirelli Diablo Tires.
  • Roaring Toyz Swing Arm Extension.
  • Integrated Smoked LED Tail Light with turn Signals.
  • LED flasher Relay Installed.
  • Two Brothers Racing Exhaust.
  • Greggs Customs Mirror Block Off Plates.
  • Rear Stand in Photo included.
  • Under-tail Fender Eliminator Kit/License Plate Mount.
I still have several of the original Parts I listed below, which will be included in the sale:
  • Original Rear View Mirrors (Some rash from moving in/out of storage).
  • Original Yamaha Clear Windscreen.
  • Original Rear Wheel Hugger.
  • Original Chain Guard.
  • Original Mid Fairings (Some Small Scratches).
  • Original Lower Belly Fairings (Some Small Scratches).
  • Rear Passenger Seat.
  • Rear Passenger Foot Pegs.
  • Extra Set of OEM (Non-Drilled) Dust Covers for Headlights.
I prefer local pick-up only but send me a message if you would like eBay to have it shipped so we can work out the details.

I believe in honest business, which is why I am prepared to answer any questions you may have about this motorcycle; please allow me 24hrs to respond to your questions.

If you live in the DFW, TX area and would like to see in person let me know, but try to give me at least 24-48 hrs advance notice due to my school and work schedule.

Thanks!

Glen Richards back with Embassy Racing

Wed, 27 Oct 2010

One of the unsung heroes of the BSB paddock over the past few seasons, has to be 2010 Superstock 1000 runner up Glen Richards. A nasty tumble in at the Brands Hatch opener lead to four DNFs, but once back on track he pushed the dominant BMWs hard, finishing on the podium eight times. While many were trading their grannies to fund new S1000RRs, Richards kept the faith and rode the wheels off his Padgett’s Honda Fireblade.

Teaser: 2012 Japanese Literbike Shootout – Video

Thu, 29 Mar 2012

The last time we assembled the superbike offerings from the Big Four Japanese manufacturers to determine the alpha male model was 2009. The CBR won that confrontation, but a lot’s changed since then. For 2012 Honda revamped the CBR1000RR, Yamaha added traction control to the R1, the GSX-R1000 lost a muffler and last year Kawasaki introduced an all-new ZX-10R.

Yamaha Showcases New “Revs Your Heart” Slogan with Impressive Domino Show – Video

Tue, 02 Apr 2013

Yamaha recently announced it is adopting a new slogan to go with its “New Medium-Term Management Plan” for 2013-2015: “Yamaha Revs Your Heart“. The new slogan connects two key themes for Yamaha, the sound of its engines racing and the passion its products instills in its customers. To introduce its new brand slogan, Yamaha Motor produced a video featuring thousands of cascading dominoes.
