2005 Yamaha YZF-R6, This 2005 Yamaha YZF-R6 is a parts only bike. The frame and body have 11,709 miles and appears to be in decent shape. The motor however, is not operable and we do not know what caused the motor failure. The front fairing, tank and rear tail are O.E.M. Yamaha body work. The side fairings seem to be painted flat black and are missing the lower bolts to secure to frame. This bike is being sold as is, with no warranty or service work completed. This would be a perfect project bike or could be turned into a stunter. The possibilities are endless! MotoGP to Standardize ECU Software in 2016 Season
Tue, 18 Mar 2014MotoGP‘s Grand Prix Commission announced the series will adopt a standardized Engine Control Unit hardware and software programming for all entries starting with the 2016 season. At the moment, all teams are required to use a standard ECU hardware supplied by Magneti Marelli. Teams competing under the Factory option are allowed to use their own proprietary software programming while Open option participants must use standardized software.

Either way, Randy Scott, 26, was found not guilty of a Trans-Canada Highway run at 299 km/h in April 2012. The viral YouTube video of a Yamaha R1 rider weaving in and out of traffic was used by police to track down Scott with the help of a concerned neighbor’s tip.
Recall for 2011 Yamaha FJR1300
Mon, 11 Jul 2011Yamaha is initiating a recall campaign the 2011 FJR1300, just a week after a separate recall for the 2006-2009 versions of the sport touring motorcycle. Like the earlier campaign, the recall for the 2011 Yamaha FJR1300 is for an electrical issue, this time for the brake lights. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, brake light on affected units may not illuminate when the front brake lever is applied because the activating mechanism in the brake switch can bind.
