Yamaha YZF-R description

2005 Yamaha YZF-R6, This 2005 Yamaha YZF-R6 is a parts only bike. The frame and body have 11,709 miles and appears to be in decent shape. The motor however, is not operable and we do not know what caused the motor failure. The front fairing, tank and rear tail are O.E.M. Yamaha body work. The side fairings seem to be painted flat black and are missing the lower bolts to secure to frame. This bike is being sold as is, with no warranty or service work completed. Thu, 10 Sep 2009

You’ll realize how cheesy that headline is after watching the pretty rad video that Yamaha has released. Yamaha’s new motocross bike has taken a radical new approach.  The engine is backwards. Yamaha’s reason for doing this is to shift the heavy end of the motor more to the center of the motorcycle to make it more agile and responsive.  Slanting the cylinder also made for a straighter pathway for the air intake at the front of the bike.

2014 AMA Supercross – Atlanta Results

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

KTM‘s Ken Roczen continues to impress, taking his second AMA Supercross win of his 450-class rookie season at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Roczen, who also won the season opening Anaheim 1 round, took advantage of a mistake by Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto to take the win and move within nine points of the defending champion in the rider standings. The main event started with Smartop Motoconcepts Suzuki rider Mike Alessi taking the holeshot for his best start this season.
