Up for sale is my 2005 Yamaha YZF-R1 with 2,598 miles on it. Yes that is the correct mileage and you will not find a nicer, more complete late model R1 in the entire USA with this low mileage. This bike is in amazing condition and looks like it came off of the showroom floor, there is not one flaw or defect you will be able to find on or with this bike. Only rode when the weather is nice and kept in a climate controlled garage. This motorcycle is better than new because the condition it still like brand new with all of the correct upgrades. The bike is rated at 180hp right from the factory, this one is closer to 195hp with all performance upgrades. A true 200 mph liter-class sport bike. This R1 was properly broken in and oil changed at correct intervals. All maintenance has been performed meticulously on this bike and there is absolutely no track time on it. ** Last Oil change completed on 4/17/16. New MotoGP Rules for ECU and Factory Status for 2014
Fri, 26 Jul 2013The Grand Prix Commission released new rules for the 2014 MotoGP season regarding the standard electronic control unit and what constitutes “factory status” for manufacturers. Starting in 2014, the official MotoGP ECU including internal datalogger from Magneti Marelli will become mandatory. Factory teams will be allowed to program their own ECU software while privateers will be required to run the standard software.
2013 AMA Daytona 200 Race Report
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Cameron Beaubier led a parade of Yamaha YZF-R6 racebikes to win the 72nd running of the famed Daytona 200. The Yamaha Extended Service Graves Yamaha rider started from pole position and led for 50 of 57 laps before winning by a 22.254-second margin. Behind Beaubier were four other R6 riders including his teammate Garret Gerloff who finished second.
King Kenny Roberts at Laguna Seca
Tue, 05 Jul 2011Fans of “King” Kenny Roberts will be in for a treat as the three-time World Champion will ride not once, not twice but three times at Laguna Seca during the 2011 U.S. Grand Prix, July 22-24. As previously announced, Roberts would join Eddie Lawson and about 200 fans in riding parade laps of the Monterrey, Calif., circuit on the Friday, July 22.
