Yamaha YZF-R description

Selling some toys out of the garage! This is my 2004 Yamaha R1. It's two-tone silver, in very good shape. Some small paint blemishes here and there, but very clean for its age. It runs perfectly, and spends most of its time sitting in the corner of my garage under a cover with a battery tender on it. The mileage right now is 13,357 but it could go up by 50-100 if I happen to go riding this week. I'd say the only thing it needs is new tires next season!

Modifications are as follows:
  • Yoshimura exhaust (looks and sounds amazing)
  • Custom black and silver seat
  • LED tail light with integrated turn signals
  • Flush mount front turn signals
  • License plate flipper (prior owner installed, I guess if you like running from the cops this is nice)
  • Strada 7 aluminum & rubber grips
  • Shortie adjustable levers
  • New Yamaha star logo tank protector

Please contact me with any questions you have. $500 deposit due within 2 days of auction end. Buyer responsible for pick up or shipping. Thank you!

Mackenzie Tricker Looks To Pad WMX Points Lead At Glen Helen Raceway Sunday

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

Having won the opening two rounds of the 2014 Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) – at the AMA sanctioned Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, and at the James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship in Wortham, Texas, Australia’s Mackenzie Tricker comes into this weekend’s race at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, with momentum on her side and a 17-point lead in the series standings. Round three of the Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) will run in conjunction with the FMF California Classic, which runs from April 9 through April 13, with both WMX motos taking place on Sunday. So far, Tricker has won three of the four motos held to date, and the Yamaha-backed rider is hoping to pad her lead in the series standings with a good finish this weekend.

Ben Spies Signs Contract Extension with Yamaha

Wed, 08 Jun 2011

Yamaha has signed Ben Spies to a one-year contract extension to continue racing on its MotoGP factory team in 2012. The extension comes after Spies, currently seventh in the Championship standings, recorded his first podium finish of the 2011 season, a third place result at Catalunya. Spies earned two other podium finishes in 2010 in his Rookie of the Year winning debut in the class with the Tech 3 satellite team.

Pedrosa: most wins, least successful

Wed, 11 May 2011

Should Dani Pedrosa win at Le Mans this coming weekend he will become the most successful rider In the premier-class not to win the coveted title. After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.
