2003 Yamaha R1 with 21xxx miles and a clear title in hand.
Mileage will slowly increase I have never dropped my bike. It has been tastefully stretched and lowered, and also contains other various aftermarket goods (featured in the photos). The bike starts cold and warm with zero issues, and is both fully functional and mechanically sound. It also sounds great! It can use minor touches to be prepared for the next full season such as new seats or simply be reupholstered, a new set of tires, and the paint has began to crack on the rear fairings (NO DAMAGE TO THE PLASTIC). Aside from that, it is in clean overall condition and receives lots of compliments as-is. The bike is ready to ride, I drive it everyday. I am asking $4,500 or best reasonable offer. Thu, 16 Jan 2014Yamaha has filed for a trademark with the European Union for the names “YZF-R3” and “R3“. The trademark applications were filed Jan. 6 and are still under review, but once approved, we should expect Yamaha to introduce a new YZF-R3 soon after.

The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.
