Yamaha YZF-R description

Up for bid is a Liquid Silver 2002 Yamaha YZFR1 with a Black Series Two Brothers Carbon Fiber Exhaust.  This bike also comes with a Euro-Tail and a nice set of Frame sliders.  It has a Smoke Windscreen and a Tank Protector to enhance it's look.  This bike fires right on up and has a great sound to it.  It also has a nice set of Flush mount Front Directionals.  All of it's functions seems to operate as designed.  This bike has a real nice look to it and should serve it's new owner quite well for years to come with just a few mechanical improvements.  The tires hold air fine, but we highly recommend that with the power this bike has, that they be changed sooner than later.  There are a few missing screws that hold on various body panels and there is a crack in the upper right fairing as well as some various scuffs and scrapes, (please note the close-up photos).  Due to unpaid auction wins, bidders with less than 20 feedback score must contact us at (978) 375-3349 prior to bidding or risk bids being cancelled.  Thank you and Good Luck.

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

Sherco rider Alain Duclos took today’s stage, eight years after his first win in Bamako. With three top five finishes this year Duclos has proven his own increased competitiveness as well as that of the Sherco 450 Rally bike he’s aboard. In more tragic news, the body of Belgian rider, Eric Palante was found Friday morning on a part of the fifth stage route that riders completed on Thursday.

Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.

Day 1 Dakar 2014: Barreda Draws First Blood

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.
