Problems:

  • Rear brake rotor worn
  • Front fairing has small cracks
  • Numerous minor scuffs and scratches in paint
  • Very small tear on bottom edge of rear pillion

Overall good condition. Meticulously maintained since purchased in 2007. Front forks resealed in 2008 and then partially restored & repainted by owner in 2009. Frame is straight, no leaks, runs and sounds great. Previous owner(s) laid it down on both sides, all plastics and tank have been repaired but front fairing has developed few small cracks where repairs were made. Lower engine covers show scratches and front footpegs have been replaced. Otherwise only a few minor scuffs & scratches in paint, and small tear on bottom corner of pillion. Only mechanical problem of note is worn rear brake rotor.

During restoration bike was stripped to frame and cleaned thoroughly. Replaced leaky clutch cover gasket and checked valve follower clearance (all within spec for 24,000 mile interval).

She's given me much enjoyment, but can no longer ride comfortably due to nerve impingement.

Rossi 'training' at his MotoRanch

Mon, 30 Jan 2012
