For sale is a well maintained adult owned 1999 Yamaha YZF-R1. Very legendary bike. Has 24,000 babied miles, runs PERFECT, and has absolutely zero issues. Has fender eleminator which was paint matched along with flush mount turn signals and has white frame sliders. Also has a GYT-R slip on which sounds amazing. The bike is extremely fast and is turn key ready. It's mostly stock except for the fender eliminator, turn signals, and exhaust. Everything was tastefully done and it has the original look. You WILL NOT find another R1 thats this clean and tastefully done where it looks like it came from storage from 1999. Does have a few imperfections on paint but you'd have to look closely to see it. Has new tires, new front brakes, a new gold chain, and I flushed out the brake fluids early this season and put in new fluid. Included is a helmet, front and rear pit bull stands, and a extra key. MotoGP to Standardize ECU Software in 2016 Season

MotoGP‘s Grand Prix Commission announced the series will adopt a standardized Engine Control Unit hardware and software programming for all entries starting with the 2016 season. At the moment, all teams are required to use a standard ECU hardware supplied by Magneti Marelli. Teams competing under the Factory option are allowed to use their own proprietary software programming while Open option participants must use standardized software.

Tapout Themed Yamaha R1 Unveiled at UFC 129 Fan Expo

The Ultimate Fighting Championships recently held the largest event in its history in Toronto and the folks at Tapout decided to use the occasion to unveil a 2011 Yamaha R1 project bike. The bike was designed Toronto’s Flat Out Industries. As you may expect, it prominently features Tapout logos all over the bike, including on the wheels, along with a pretty sweet red, black and white color scheme.

2013 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Report

The 22nd edition of the annual LA Calendar Motorcycle Show marked its return to the Queen Mary Seawalk Village in Long Beach, California with hometown boy Sam Baldi taking the Bike Building Championship’s Best of Show trophy with a Jimmy Todorovith/Profile Cycles built Big Twin custom named “Lost Angel.” This year’s Calendar Show showcased not only top builders but selected vendors and exhibitors, and of course the Calendar Girl Music live performances. And as always, this year’s show celebrated the world premiere of the 2014 FastDates.com Motorcycle PinUp Calendars, featuring the world’s top SBK World Superbikes, sport and cafe bikes, and custom motorcycles with the beautiful Calendar Kittens. On hand throughout the day to meet with fans and pose for pictures were Calendar Kittens Apple Price, together with official SBK World Superbike grid girls Jessica Harbour and singer/songwriter Sarah Horvath.
