The 2013 Yamaha YZ85 has been fitted with an 85cc liquid-cooled, crankcase reed-valve-inducted, two-stroke engine that inhales through a 28mm Keihin flat-slide carburetor, providing flawless throttle response across the powerband. The engine is combined with the Digital CDI ignition system which releases more exact spark and monitors engine speed to make sure optimal timing for faster, stronger response during hard acceleration. Along with the announcement of the updated 2013 FJR1300A, Yamaha also announced that its naked middleweight roadster, the FZ8, has received a handful of updates for 2013. Key among the modest improvements is revised EFI programming for smoother, snappier throttle response, and front suspension is now full adjustability. The fork has new preload and rebound adjustments atop the fork legs, while a new compression damping adjuster is located at the bottom of the fork.

Yamaha Patents Tricity Variant Design

Yamaha has patented the design for a new variant to its Tricity leaning three-wheeled scooter featuring a broader fairing resembling the TMax. Yamaha has previously announced it would introduce more leaning multi-wheeled vehicles, and this newly patented design may be the next one to go into production. The new design is heavily-based on the original Tricity.
