Engine refinements include a larger 39 mm carburetor, optimized CDI, and lighter piston with a lighter piston pin for more power as well as exceptional throttle response in the mid-to-high speed range.

Yamaha Applies for R3 Trademark in US
Wed, 22 Jan 2014Last week, we broke the news that Yamaha had filed a trademark application for the European Union for the use of “YZF-R3” and “R3“. As a year end surprise, Yamaha is pleased to offer race fans around the world a video of this monumental occasion. The video features both archival footage from Kenny’s victory in 1975 as well as the events surrounding this recent monumental motorcycling event.
