Yamaha YZ description
I don't really want to, but I'm putting my YZ250 up for sale. I really, really don't want to sell it, but a move for work causes me to. Given it's age, this is 1 of the cleanest 2-strokes you'll find for sale here in Colorado. Trust me, I've looked at the clapped out stuff people are trying to sell these days.Bike needs to sell in the next 2 weeks, or it leaves the state. Features:- Tires in great shape = 75~80% left on rear / front is new- Some extras included = if it's associated with the bike, you get it (note: centerstand not included).- New chain, sprocket and counter- Motor is super, super strong. Scary strong. - SDG seat- Renthal bars- Airborne, formally Pro-Action, suspension front and rear. Over $600 worth of work = springs, seals, fluids, revalve, etc.- FMF Silencer / New 2012 stock pipe- Plastics are all goodIt's getting harder and harder to find CLEAN 2-strokes these days. Guys are snapping them up to avoid the maintenance hassles associated with modern-day 4-strokes. What's specifically great about buying a Yamaha 2-stroke is that parts are plentiful and they still continue to support 2-stroke models. The 2004 is not drastically different than the 2014. Some would argue it's better thanks to its steel frame.Come take a look, no disappointments or surprises.....call to schedule an appointment. No texts (land line) and no email replies. Local cash sale only. 1st $2399 takes it.

The perfect classified advert
Fri, 21 Jun 2013Forget “One careful owner, low mileage, full service history” – when it comes to penning classifieds we can all learn from Kyle Miller and Joe Strachila who’ve plundered their marketing genius to come up with the best scooter advert we’ve ever seen. The pair, from Seattle, became an internet sensation last year when they created a hyperbole-packed ad for $700-worth of frankly rubbish 1995 Pontiac Grand-Am. Now they’ve pulled the same trick to get rid of a Y2K Yamaha SH50 (the comically-named ‘Razz’), advertising it on Cragslist as “the fulfilment of your wildest fantasies”.

An Island tour with a legend
Fri, 17 Sep 2010What you are watching is a highlight of Mike Hailwood's segment from the racing documentary Take it to the Limit - A Motorcycle Odyssey. The Yamaha - built by the extraordinary Kel Carruthers - that Hailwood is riding in the clip featured a unique frame with the camera housed within. The voice-over recording provided by Hailwood was done by taping a small mic to the bottom of his lip so he could dictate his guide to the 37.73 mile route.
