Monster Energy Track Day of Legends with Schumacher, McGuinness, Espargaro and Flint – Video
Tue, 18 Dec 2012Last week, we wrote about retired Formula One racer Michael Schumacher taking part in a track day at France’s Paul Ricard circuit on a Ducati 1199 Panigale. The event’s sponsor, Monster Energy, has released a video offering a behind-the-scenes look at the event. The seven-time F1 champion was joined by TT racer John McGuinness, retired MotoGP racer Randy Momola, Moto2 racer Pol Espargaro and Keith Flint, a musician from the group Prodigy and a racer in the U.K.’s Hottrax Endurance Championship.
Villopoto, Roczen Dominate AMA Supercross in Oakland
Mon, 28 Jan 2013Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto dominated the 450SX Class on Saturday night in front of a record crowd in Oakland, CA. In front of a record crowd of 46,896, Monster Energy Kawasakis Ryan Villopoto raced to his second-consecutive AMA Supercross victory, an FIM World Championship, 450SX Class Main Event win at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, CA on Saturday night. Rockstar Energy Racings Davi Millsaps finished in second, and Red Bull KTMs Ryan Dungey followed in third.
Yamaha Tests New Engine Spec at Sepang
Tue, 28 Feb 2012Yamaha MotoGP riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies tested new engine specifications for their YZR-M1 prototypes on the first day of testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. Wet conditions limited track time in the afternoon but Yamaha was able to get some data on the engine in the morning. Yamaha also worked on finding a solution to front end chatter problems.
