Yamaha YZ description

2002 Yamaha YZ250, Great running pre owned 2002 YZ250 2 Stroke! - Take a look at this great YZ250 motocross bike. Good condition with some great upgrades! When it comes to summing up the YZ250’s superiority, it’s hard to pinpoint this two-stroke missile’s greatest strength. It’s that good at everything. Both Cycle News and Motocross Action thought so, awarding the 2001 YZ 250 of the Year honors, making that two straight crowning seasons from the latter publication. In the bar-banging world of motocross, however, being the best is never good enough. So that’s why we’ve retooled the YZ250 for 2002.

KTM rookie Ken Roczen captured his first 450 class win in the AMA Supercross world championship, taking the season opener at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. An audience of 45,050 fans watched a clean race from the rookie while errors by veterans like James Stewart and three-time reigning champion Ryan Villopoto knocked them out of contention. Villopoto had a strong start, taking the holeshot and leading the first eight laps, just like the Kawasaki rider had done so often the last few seasons.

Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees  and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.
